I replaced the original Winegard antenna with this one. When you look inside the cover, you can see the multi-directional antenna "sprouts" covering 360 degrees. Once I mounted it, I am so happy I got it. You don't have to keep adjusting the antenna (like the old ones) to find more channels. This does it! Definitely an antenna worth buying!

This antenna works great. A great price. Reception was excellent and it was easy to install. This fit over the top of the old antenna. The old antenna wings were damaged. After removing the wings this fit over the hub of the old antenna. Good picture quality.

Antenna arrived well packed and with all necessary hardware in the box. Kit also includes a powered wall plate for coax hookup to your TV on the side that shows, and to the antenna line on the side that doesn't show. Also included is a length of gray coax cable with connectors already installed, but I didn't use it. The hardest part of the task was removing the old "batwing" antenna from the roof of my camper. Seriously--I spent half a day trying to get it loose without damaging my roof. Once that chore was done, installation was easy. I cleaned the roof around the old antenna hole using solvent and stuck the new antenna down with a generous bead of white silicone caulk. Note: there are TWO antennas inside the dome--1 for TV and 1 for AM/FM radio. I only hooked up the TV antenna. I used the provided screws to fasten the thing down and then buried the screw heads under more caulk. The antenna is round and about the size of a cake-keeper lid. It is marked "front" & "back" for some reason. I oriented it accordingly but I doubt it matters which way you install an omni-directional antenna! Performance is better than expected. I live in a suburban TV dead zone with no nearby stations, yet my TV still acquired 16 digital channels. Loud & clear too. I wasn't expecting much from an inexpensive plastic "salad bowl". I was wrong. This thing works. Don't be put off by the plastic construction. The unit seems very stiff & sturdy and I expect it will hold up for many years as long as I avoid tree branches.

Did not perform as expected. does not bring in channels like the claims. Would rather have my wing style antenna back so I can bring in a good reception. Would not buy another one.

Our 5th wheel is 11 years old and parts do wear out. The crank has broken twice on the bat-wing antenna and we are always afraid that we will forget to lower it when leaving the campground. We opted for the A3-2000 Omni-directional model. The hardest part was getting the bat-wing assembly and old Dicor off the roof. Connecting the Coax was easy. The hole in the ceiling below was covered with a white plastic junction box cover that came with a threaded mounting bracket.Reception seems as good, if not better than our old bat-wing (which had a digital upgrade piece). No longer have to worry about lowering the antenna in strong winds or when heading home.

Works good , installs easy. It’s just that mine had no round plate to cover the hole left inside from the old “batwing” antenna. Otherwise great

Increased the number of channels available in my RV and no need to turn the antenna.

Like many others, we were tired of raising our RV antenna, plus having to aim it each time we arrived at a campsite. This antenna was easy to install and it gives us more channels than our old batwing (unpowered) antenna. I hooked it up at home to make sure it worked before installing it on our RV. The new antenna gave us 80 channels, more than we get with our home antenna which gives us 78 channels. After installing it on our RV at our storage facility we were receiving 29 channels where before our old batwing gave us only 7 channels. We chose to install the new antenna in a new location and not over the old one. We read that pulling up the sealant on the roof (over 12 years old) would damage the roof so we didn't want to disturb the old antenna and the sealant. The amplifier allows two antenna connections and one cable connection (I am guessing the cable connection is just a pass through). I chose not to connect the FM antenna since we don't listen to the radio while camping.Overall, I think this antenna is worth the price. It is easy to install and gives us more channels than before.

I was looking for a replacement roof-mount TV antenna for our motorhome, the old Winegard batwing had seen better days due to low tree branches. I wanted an amplified 4G-filtered omni-directional antenna, no more raising-and-rotating. I realized that an omni will never provide reception as good as a directional like the batwing, but the dome-design of this one is more resistant to tree branches so I was willing to compromise. And we don't watch much TV programming when we're in the RV, if the TV is on we're usually watching a movie on BD or DVD. The other omni antennas I considered are shaped like flying saucers or airplanes on a pedestal, and just begging to take flight with the next tree branch :(The Winegard A3-2000 360 met all my expectations. The old batwing received 17 stations, sitting in my driveway, approx 30 miles from the transmitters, through trees and who knows what else. The Winegard 360 receives 13 stations. And no more raise-and-rotate or worry about tree branches.I removed the old antenna & hardware, put a 5" self-adhesive Door Knob Wall Shield over the hole in the ceiling, and used a can of spray foam in the hole from the rooftop. The dome covers it on the outside, and I used some peel-n-stick weatherstripping on the dome lip as the installation instructions suggested, just to be sure of no rain leaks. Connect the cable, drill 6 small holes, use caulk on the screws, screw it down, and you're done. I even used the old power supply wall plate, it has a 12v outlet which I need for the TV & BD, I tried the new plate but found no difference in performance (the new plate does not have a 12v outlet). The actual amplifier is in the antenna dome. Our needs have been met by the great design, and it works well enough for us!
