I really like this wire Chicken basket. I do not use this for gathering eggs but rather as decor as my home is nothing but farmhouse decor and this looks great..great quality.

This basket looks so cute sitting on my counter in my farmhouse with my hens fresh eggs in it! It goes well with my decor and serves a purpose! It is really well made and holds a good amount of eggs!

I ordered this as it reminded me of my mom, who loved chickens, and all chicken related things. As a young girl one of my chores was to feed mom's chickens and gather the eggs, usually using a basket or pail. Mon would have liked this decorative egg cage. This light weight basket can also be functional keeping eggs for ready use conveniently on the counter. With all the seasonal baking going on you usually want your eggs at room temperature. This is an ideal basket for holding lemons too, and I use a lot of lemons. Its a light weight rustic looking wire frame(like chicken fence) basket. It just looks kitchen decorative sitting atop my bakers rack or ready on the counter.

Well made and super cute! Feels sturdy and will last a while. The lid has little stoppers so it fits nicely onto the basket part. I got this for a gift but am now thinking of keeping it for myself I like it so much! I love this and am overlooking the fact that the rooster booty is pretty sharp! I may put something on it - silicone? Black tape? I don't know but I'm not giving up so easy! It's a fantastic size. We get several dozen fresh pasture eggs and this holds a lot! And it looks rustic and awesome in our kitchen. You could easily use it without the rooster top and it would still be great. I just love the rooster! A little electrical tape over his tail feathers should work. Other than the sharp factor, it is pretty sturdy for this type of metal wire design.
