Where has this thing been all my life?I have often been in frustrating situations while trying to feed wire off both small and large wooden spools, using makeshift arrangements that didn’t work out too well. This spool stand is a wonderful idea to address the spool holding and feeding problem while allowing for very fast setup and take-down. The tubular steel is very strong, with a nice black powder cost finish. The hand-tightened (metric) screws operated with ease.The set doesn’t include a cross horizontal connecting bar, but that is easy enough to address. It is best to choose your own size pipe for the application. Most any rod or pipe that has an outer diameter up to about 1-5/8-inch should work. My photos show a small section of 3/4-inch schedule 80 PVC that I used to fit a small spool diameter. A piece of conduit or iron/galvanized pipe would also work excellent with these stands. Just use the appropriate diameter pipe for the wire spool you are working with. I’ve found that using a smaller diameter, but strong, pipe is best for most applications.The spool rack sections store in a small space until they are needed the next time. You may not need something like this every day, but when you do, it's a lifesaver and will go to work perfectly to do the job. I am intrigued by the pictures I saw on the product page showing a dispenser like this mounted on rolling wheels with locks. I’ll have to check to see if the base of this item allows for caster attachment, that would be a nice addition.I highly recommend this item for those who routinely work with cable spools and are tired with the spools spinning about the floor and wires getting tangled. Using this spool, it helps when you are doing a job solo and don’t have a helping hand at the wire spool end. Excellent idea!

I work on large solar projects and am constantly dealing with large spools of solar wire (10 to 6 guage). This spool rack is the perfect replacement for my DIY rig I made from two saw horses, a rod, and some hand clamps. It's light, strong, and allows for the use of any size rod with the adustable rod retension screws. FYI, the rod holes will accomodate up to a 1 3/4" dowel/rod. In the pics I'm using an extra 5/8" steel axel rod I had lying about. If you work with wire spools, save yourself the hassel and get this rack.

Review for Lifeswell Wire Spool Rack: Note that the axle for this spool rack is not included: Maximum diameter is about 1.59", or 40mm. If you go a lot smaller than that (we tried 1" galvanized pipe), stability will be compromised. We have a handmade cable spool that is considerably more stable, and more flexible about reel sizes and hub diameter. The problem is it's also quite bulky & difficult to take to a job site. This one definitely wins in the portability department. The included knobs for locking down the axle bar are rather flimsy: we'll probably end up replacing it with standard hex-head bolts.

If you are in need of pulling wire efficiently than look no further. I recently bought two of these (10/2/24). Currently have a 1” ridged conduit fitting perfectly through them and pulling two 1,000’ 10-2 coils . This far ( 1 days work) I’m thoroughly impressed with this product. I have the two swivel wheels in the back which makes for easy access in and out of doorways. Product is built with quality. I work for a large electrical contractor doing large commercial projects. I’m most certainly will be buying more of these when the High priced competitor ones breakdown.

The Wire Spool Rack, Portable Cable Caddy, Steel Fully welded Wire Rack Dispenser for up to 28" Diameter Spools, 220 lbs Capacity, Black is a rugged, strong, and convenient way to keep your spools of wire handy and in order. I use a 6', 1/2" pipe between the A frames to keep them upright and to store the reels of wire. Spools of wire seem to multiply in my garage and every time I turn around there is another one. I have LMR400, Quad shield 75 ohm, RG-58,RG-59, and more on big spools and lots of 10, 12, 14, 16, and more gauges hanging around. Just a tip - I leave a foot of pipe at each end hanging out so I can change out the gauge I use most often without having to take the pipe off the A frames. Anyway, this pipe rack is strong and really helps keep my wire reels in order.
