When I first learned that there was this product offering wireless HDMI transmission I was skeptical because I figured if it was possible many companies would already be offering it. It seems like this product uses Wifi for the wireless transmission because it says "SSID" (name of wifi network) when connecting - cool. What's most impressive to me here is that the instructions are very well written (included paper manual) AND when you plug it in to the TV the on-screen graphic / text indicators are also very clear AND there's also the LED statuses which light up on the transmitter and recieving bits too! These days, even if the technology is fully working, many companies will provide the most minimal required information so that a customer could possibly figure it out and get it working but if the manual is lost, if the on-screen instructions aren't understood, etc if that one source of instruction is unsucsessful, the product becomes useless. This is the opposite - it wouldn't be fun, but without the manual I could probably get it working from the on-screen instructions and the LED indicators flashing on the units.I don't love the way they've designed the transmitter button functionality - you hold it 5 seconds to go into pairing mode, 10 seconds for factory settings reset, and the receiver button needs to be held 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. This is all adequately explained in the manual (and on-screen) so I'm not deducting points but its unnecessarily convoluted. The manual recognizes that its too easy to end up doing the factory reset when you're only meaning to hold it down 5 seconds for pairing. The button should work the same on the transmitter and receiver, the # of seconds you must hold to pair. This company did the important things very well so I assume in time they'll realize that this can be improved. When there is no good HDMI signal received by the transmitter helpfully the receiver will show on screen to reflect this (rather than just no signal, as would be typical). Moreover it shows a QR code which brings you to an online instruction manual. This is actually problematic again because its not the right product manual. They've attempted to do a wonderful job and have come very close but no, when I load the manual from that QR code its for 3 similar products but they're clearly different as they're not wireless, they're white-colored, etc.I can recommend this item! What amazes me is how stable the wirelessly transmitted picture is, I can't tell the difference between this and regular wired HDMI.

I got this to avoid running long HDMI cable to the overhead projector in my basement theater. The product works well out of the box. I did not have to power it using USB-C. I did not test this for gaming. So I cannot comment about that.

We have a single Amazon Fire cube but a second TV in a separate room. We used to move if from one room to next as needed. The rooms are at least 30ft apart and with 3 sets of walls between them. So I wasn't 100% sure these would work. But they work well. Almost perfect picture (sometimes audio is scattered but stabilizes).Only thing is - both sides need to be powered by USB C cable. Plan for that and taking one star off for this not being exceedingly obvious in product descriptions and documentation. Otherwise, highly recommend if your display is far away from your HDMI Source.

For reference I am using this to remotely stream a Smart Telescope timelapse to my PC for long periods. It serves as a monitoring source only , The resolution is good for what I need but not super clear for video. I tested this on PC and MAC and it works fine with the setup being extremely easy. From about 20 ft I streamed YouTube at 1080p without much desynch in audio but the resolution descaled a few times so I took it down to 720. It works great for presentation and monitoring but a little disappointing trying to stream 1080 in true form. It is worth the money for my needs.

This thing is fantastic for avoiding those awkward conference room meetings where the AV equipment never seems to work. As long as there’s a projector or TV with an HDMI input, I am now 100% confident that I will be able to get my content on the screen in less than 5 minutes.
