My husband installed this in the boat and loves it. His knees were hitting the steering area previously, but now he can slide the seat back when driving the boat with no knee knocking! Easy to install...four holes matched up perfectly.

My old seat slider was as old as the boat itself being a 2008 Triton 21X2 and so HAPPY I found this on AMAZON! It was a DIRECT replacement, TOO! I did wish to submit a pic of the actual pedestal base that uses this particular seat slide WITH locking mount as others have had issues of the seat slide fitting properly using the locking mount. MINE WORKS JUST FINE! Very happy with this purchase. Decided to change out the passenger side seat slider, as well.

This bolted right to my wise seat, fit right onto a 2-7/8 base, functions as you expect - well. No issues. Quality seems good.One thing to be aware of - they say 5 inches forward and back (which might make you think it's 10 inches total travel), and that literally means 5 inches of total adjustment. This is standard, everyone who makes them it's 5 to 7 inches, but the way it's described is a little confusing.There is a locking lever, which is designed to catch an oval hole that some of the seat pedestals have in them that locks the seat straight (so you aren't tightening the knob to lock the seat). The lever doesn't do anything unless you have or make that hole in your pedestal. I didn't see an easy way to remove the lever, may end up cutting it off, as I'm not planning on using it.

Fast shipping and a quality slide mount, I ordered from the used section for $22 less, looks like new and functions properly, the best deal I could find for a mount that locks slides and swivels. I’m redoing the seats in my boat to pedestal seats so I can sit in the seat instead of kneel or sit on the top of the seat back and this will work perfect!

Used this on my peddle powered pontoon boat. Fixed seat and peddles made for long reach for some users. This will solve the issue. Looks to be high quality materials.

The unit was a replacement for an out-of-date unit from the same manufacturer. The new unit fitted without any modification.

I have an older 2000 Bayliner Trophy series walk around boat, the parts for this boat are hard to find so I’ve had to search near and far to find updated parts that would work for my boat. This is one of them and highly recommend it for anyone who has a fixed 2 7/8 pedestal. It did however lower my seat by at least an inch, but thats fine. Seems pretty stable but I cannot vouch as of yet on the longevity of the quality. I’ll update my review after a year or so as I use it in the Chesapeake Bay environments.

Mounted just fine on a Todd Helm seat - screw patterns lined up. Nothing comes with screws these days, so you need 4 per seat with washers. Work fine on the 2 7/8 post. Has an extra lock feature that is not needed on a typical post, maybe yours has the hole for the lock but it is not an issue. I did notice the made in China plastic control handles. I can see those getting broken so be careful.

Seems to be sturdy but is very squeaky compared to the just swivel top.
