Wittner Wood Case Black Metronome with Bell Tuner (816M)

It seems well built and is easy to use. Maybe not as accurate or feature-packed as a digital but it serves its purpose very well.

Zunächst einmal: Das Ding kam defekt an und wurde mittlerweile zurück geschickt. Die Glockenmechanik ging nicht. Ich bin nicht sicher ob es ein Transportschaden war (es befanden, sich keinerlei Transportsicherungen in der Mechanik, so wie es bei anderen mechanischen Metronomen der Fall ist). Eventuell wurde mir ein Rückläufer als Neuware geschickt? Oder die Qualitätssicherung war schlecht? Soll ja bei hoher Handwerkskunst mal vorkommen.Da der Taktschlag und Pendeö grundsätzlich funktionierte, habe ich es getestet. Der Pendelschlag war schon nach wenigen Sekunden so ungenau, dass es im Vergleich zu meinen elektr. Metronomen bei Moderato bis Allegretto zwischen den Schlägen lag sie wirklich stabil lief bzw. die Takt gehalten hat. Das kriegt mein wippendes Bein ähnlich gut hin.Es mag am Transportschaden liegen, aber falls es mal in irgendeiner Form abgestimmt worden ist, dann ist auch diese Abstimmung hinfällig (Neuware?).Dazu kommt, dass das holz billig wirkt. Irgendwie nicht so schwer und massiv wie ich mir das bei dem Preis gewünscht hätte. Mehr wie ein leichtes Vogelhaus zum Aufhängen. Nicht mal die Füße waren rutschfest und akustisch entkoppelt (ich glaube siw waren sogar aus Plastik). Apropos: Die Verriegelung der Abdeckung ist aus Kunststoff und wirkt ebenfalls lieblos (warum ist überhaupt einfarbiges, billiges Plastik verwendet worden, bei so einem teuren „Schmuckstück“? Wie wäre es mit einem Akzent oder sogar mit Messing?).Der Knaller ist: Man kann sehen, dass die Zahnräder teilweise aus Kunststoff sind. Das die fummelige Abdeckung nur schließt, wenn das Pendelgewicht an die richtige (unmarkierte) Stelle geschoben wurde… kannste dir nicht ausdenken. Bei so viel Tradition war es wohl nicht drin diesen „flaw“ mal auszubügeln und einfach das Gehäuse oder die Klappe entsprechend anzupassen? Ich meine auch, dass davon nichts in der Anleitung stand, aber es gibt immerhin ein Bild darin, das die Stellung genau zeigt. Bei dem Gemecker sei noch mal erwähnt: Wie sprechen über ein 150 Euro Metronom! Es gibt kostenlose Metronom-Apps für alle Geschmäcker und Vorstellungen. Aber ich wollte ja Premium, Handwerk und Mechanisches Feeling.Ich habe grundsätzlich übrigens auch überhaupt nichts gegen Kunststoff in der Mechanik (leise, schmierfrei, leichtgewichtig, etc), aber ich habe ein Ersatzgerät bestellt, in dem die komplette Mechanik aus Metall ist und wirklich sehr solide wirkt, knackig läuft und dadurch auch sehr gut reparierbar zu sein scheint. Diese „Fernost Ersatzlösung“ hat ein wertigeres Innenleben als dieses klassische Metronom und kostet 1/5 (allerdings mit - sehr wertigem und durchdachten - Kunststoffgehäuse).Soviel zu „Deutscher Handwerkskunst“. Wer aber unbedingt Holz will und mit etwas Plastik leben kann, kommt halt leider nicht wirklich an diesem hier vorbei.Ein schön gemachtes Gehäuse aus qualitativem, handwerklich schön bearbeitetem und nachhaltig gewachsenen Holz mit einem Qualitätswerk aus China - das wäre mein Wunsch.Vielleicht liest ja ein findiger Schreiner mit, der Lust hat ein Startup für exklusive Metronome zu gründen. Das ist meinem Gefühl nach eine echte Nische. Tolles Gehäuse und Qualitätswerk aus China - ich wette da stimmt die Marge dann trotzdem.

"Works like new" cant keep time properly, sounds like its slanted, the bell doesnt have a clear ring, like something is leaning against it

A true classic! Works as expected and the bell is bright (always appreciate that it’s optional as well). We got matte/satin black and I’m happy with how it looks over our satin black piano. If you want the timeless classic, this is it.

Very good quality. Has bell for timing and does exactly what I want it to do. I am very pleased.

I was very weary about ordering this item after reading the horrible reviews regarding quality check. Fortunately, the one that I got was brand new and didn't have any blemishes or defects. It works perfectly and looks awesome. It is like a piece of décor when not in use. The toughest decision for me was the choice of color. I debated a lot between getting the piano black gloss finish and matt black, but I finally got the matt one. I thought it would blend easier with the other furniture or to touch paint later, but I am not so sure anymore. If one could overcome that decision, this metronome is built to last for ages.

Très bel objet qui remplit à merveille ses fonctions. Nous l'utilisons pour jouer du piano et même en jouant forte il se fait entendre.

I had originaly rated this product with only 1 starr but this was ufair because the product is an excellent one. I received it and it looks very elegant, it performs very well and if it was the model I actually ordered (816) I would have kept it. Unfortunately the product advertised and sold here is a Witter metronome with bell (816), but the item in the picture and the item actually shipped to me was the same model without bell (806)! The difference is that without bell you can only hear the beat and can not set 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or 6/8 rhythm. Even the box this item was shipped in said "with bell", yet the item in it was without one.Beware!

This is a very good Metronome. I had one without the bell before but I do like it better with the bell, especially since you can stop it if not needed. I also like the sound volume: it is loud enough to work even if a trio is playing but not too overwhelming. The wind-up is good too, and lasts for a long time. No complaints so far (I had it for about a week by now).

la descripción del producto es fiel a la realidad. Espero que dure muchos años. Esta es la mejor marca en metronomos

You have to consider this when you look at digital boxes. True, they all keep time, but this is a much more physical sound, right in front of you that is crisp and definitive. The time-keeper switch rings a bell at the 1-beat when you set it to the time signature. It's beautiful and a great addition to your studio.

Alles ok, Gehäuse ansprechend, gute Verarbeitung, Präzise etc. Was soll man noch mehr sagen. optisch einwandfrei.Kann man kaufen und präsentieren
