This is the second dash cam I've set up. Out of the box, they usually confuse people but if you've done one, you can do this. For sure, this has more parts than some of the basic units. There is a "base station", back up cam, cabin cam, and the main mirror display. For me, I need to get over the fact that my mirror is now a video screen. The clarity is good and I like that it shows you the backup tire guides but my wife is a little nervous about replacing the analog mirror with an electronic screen. But the screen is larger and has some helpful details that a mirror won't have. The cameras all have good pictures and the main front cam has a ball pivot to get it pointed in the right spot but I still found I needed to pull the main mirror screen towards the driver side so the camera can clear the original car mirror and not be blocked. I also needed to tilt the mirror up so the camera points solidly forward. If you take this screen down, you'll need to reposition your car's original mirror. This comes with some nice cabling. The power to the mirror is a USB C and it has a 90 degree joint so the wire can be hidden behind the mirror better. The base station, rear and cabin units all have nice plug systems that can't be mistakenly plugged into the wrong unit. And there is plenty of cabling to stretch the rear cam all the way to the back of the vehicle. It also comes with a tool to help you hide these wires under the carpet or into the headliner.Set up is simple and the instructions are good. There is a nice overview wiring diagram to get you started. The set up is touch screen and the icons on the mirror display are simple to understand. There isn't a lot of guess work, searching for buttons that are on the back or side of the main display like my old dash cam. Everything is up front and simple. Conclusion, this is by far one of the best dash cams I've seen. It's also well thought out and comes with custom cables, lots of double sided tape, and good instructions. To get the rear cam linked to your tail light, I needed a special bit to remove my tail light but that's just my car and setting up the tail light is pretty easy to do, once you have access to the bulbs. Why did I upgrade from my old unit to this? The cabin camera is something I wanted that I didn't have. It's an essential item that I think all dash cams should include but they don't.

To the extent that establishment, it was straight forward and the hardest part was making tracks the links. Both of my G900 units are wired direct with the Wolfbox design pack so I can utilize the stopping mode time pass recording highlight. I introduced the two units myself with the back cameras mounted simply over the tags and with the GPS modules taken cover behind the front A point of support trim (I have no issue getting the GPS satellites with the sensor behind the trim). The stopping mode highlight works perfectly and I have mine established to standard in 12 hour time pass mode with 3 FPS, which saves a ton of circle space while as yet giving a sufficiently good consistent video recording. The Wolfbox design module likewise saves you from depleting the vehicle's battery by removing the capacity to the camera in the event that the battery voltage dips under a specific point. Up to this point, both of mine can record for the full 12 hours in time pass mode before the low voltage switch off kicks in. I put this camera in my Silverado 2500 Long Bed Team Taxi mounted to within raise view reflect. There was a lot of additional wire for the power (both in the provided cigarette lighter and furthermore the design pack). For the back camera cabling I utilized expansion link and it was sufficient to run from the back view reflect, into the entryway embellishment to head outside and under the truck, concealing the wire the whole way to the guard with a lot of link left finished. Fortunately they incorporate a plastic trim spacer device that helps get the wire into the trim moldings.
