Updated 2/27/23: The shirt’s fabric attracts dog hair like crazy! I have other black tops and this one was so much worse with the dog hair. Also, would not recommend machine drying. Based on other reviews, I machine washed and dried according to manufacturer’s instructions and it came out a wrinkly mess with some dog hair still remaining. I did not use fabric softener since that is not usually recommended for moisture wicking clothing, although the instructions on the tag did not specify. I also removed from the dryer immediately after the dryer cycle. Next time I will try air drying on a rack. Changed my rating from a 5 to a 3, very disappointed especially since this is an expensive article of clothing.————————-Love this shirt! The shirt is warm and not scratchy at all. Very comfortable and has some stretch to it. I wore this all day. I walked this morning in 14 degree windchill and I was warm and toasty with only this shirt under my winter jacket. I wore it the rest of the day in the house and was never overheated. The cut is very flattering with an athletic cut. I like that it has a v-neck instead of a crew neck. I am 5’6”, 150 lbs. and ordered a large because I didn’t want to use it as a skin tight base layer. Sleeve length and overall length of shirt is perfect. The cut is good not baggy or tight at all. I can use this as a base layer or just by itself as a top. Very versatile. The shirt has a one year warranty on material and manufacturing defects, 2 years if you register online. I can’t wait to try it for cross country skiing since it is supposed to be moisture wicking.

it would be great both as a baselayer and a dress shirt. versatile, great fabric, good fit--not snug. Medium fit an athletic 5'6" woman weighing 130 lbs with some room to spare

I'm relatively new to merino wool products in general so I'm only writing from a subjective point of view here. This shirt fits as expected, not tight but not loose. The back hem is longer than the front which is not uncommon for shirts. However, I find the front length to be slightly awkward for some reason. The sleeves are plenty long for me with no thumb holes.I read from several sources that merino wool is soft. Personally, I don't think it's OK. I have a neck gaiter that's 100% merino wool and it feels similar to this shirt. I'm starting to think this might be how it normally feels. It's not itchy or anything. This shirt is not thin. Decently thick. I got it the day I was going to play ultimate Frisbee pick up at night with temperature starting around 55F around 7 pm, and got lower that the night went. I think part half way through the whole thing it was around 48F and/or lower. I'm the kind that get cold easy. At first I had this shirt on and a sports jacket (UA cold gear) . It wasn't enough and I didn't even start running yet. So then I rearranged my layers to fleece, this shirt, and the same sports jacket. It was better. To me, the breeze cut through it but on top of the fleece shirt it was better. It was very cold for me that night. I'm gonna say this shirt contributed to keeping me warm. Had I worn it by itself, probably not so much. But again, I think it's made to be layered with something else. Wearing it by itself and expecting to be warm doesn't sound right.I'm not as excited about this shirt as I thought I would be, but that could be because I don't understand merino wool fully. It is a nice shirt, though, and I will continue to use this shirt for sure.I'm 5"3, 33 chest, 28 waist, 118 lbs, and got a Small.

This is a very elegant black V-neck top that has long sleeves and nips in at the waist for better fit under a top layer and for a better look when worn alone. Worn alone, this top does not look like thermal underwear.Today was the perfect day for this shirt to arrive for me. I had already been taken outside twice; it wasn't that cold, but the wind was brutal. Then this shirt came, and the next time I was taken outside I didn't feel the wind or the cold at all, wearing this under a medium weight jacket. This shirt fits close to your body so it's easier to layer warmer tops and/or jackets on top of it, and also so it looks very good alone. Just be sure to check the company's own size chart before you order it; don't just order your usual size. Unless you keep the heat on really high at your home, you can wear this alone inside on a cold day, then throw a jacket on top of it and be good to go. I am never given much notice when I'm about to be taken outside, and my walking commander doesn't get cold.Excellent product, a shirt you will keep and wear forever in cold weather. This is lightweight enough to wear on its own in cool to mildly cold weather, and it fits close to your body so it doesn't make you look fat if you wear it under a sweater, under a jacket, you name it. Here are the tech specs: 100% 18.5 Micron Merino Wool V-Neck, 235 G/M2, Flat Lock Seams, Tagless Construction, Interlock Knit, Regular Fit, UPF Rating 50+.Be sure to use the manufacturer's size chart, because this runs small in regular sizes. This company has been making clothes out of 100% Merino wool for years and years, and they know how to do it right. If it's really cold, you could sleep in this. This gorgeous black shirt is exceptionally well made and comfortable, and it will definitely keep you warm. If you're looking for a Merino wool shirt or excellent thermal underwear, look no further.
