This Leafsay Women’s Maxi Skirt is a winner. It’s so soft and fits so well that I could wear it all day and stay comfortable. The waistband doesn’t pull or pinch, and the material is lightweight and flowy without gathering awkwardly. It lays beautifully and moves effortlessly. One of my favorite features? Pockets! They’re actually functional, which is always a plus. I’m 5’6”, and the length is perfect—just right for wearing with flats, sandals, loafers, or even heels. I got the black pink flower design, and the colors are spot on—vibrant and flattering.I’d buy this skirt again without hesitation! What I reviewed:Leafsay Women’s Summer Flowy A-line Maxi Skirt

I ordered this Leafsay Womens Summer Flowy A-line Maxi Skirt Elastic High Waist Long Skirt with Pockets maxi skirt because I liked the pink and white floral pattern against the black background; this reminded me very much of a favorite skirt of mine from the 90s.I’ve been pleased to see the maxi skirt having a big comeback lately. Fashion magazines used to say if you wore it the first time it was popular, skip the replay; now they say if you wore it the first time round, style it differently for the replay. My tastes and my figure have changed with the years; I definitely style this differently (how I loved my combat boots in the 99s with maxi skits and babydoll dresses) but I still love the look and comfort of a maxi skirt. This skirt is made from a blend of 95% rayon/5% spandex. The fabric is like a jersey knit, it is lightweight, soft, and very stretchy. The skirt breathes well and is super comfortable to wear all day; it has a wide waistband with elastic at the back, and the fabric is flowy.I’m short (5’2”) and this skirt hits me at the top of my feet. The fabric is light but it isn’t sheer; I don’t need to wear a slip under this skirt, though I sometimes do, because I like slips. The fabric has a floral print of mixed wildflowers in white and pinks, varying from pale to deep pink. The greenery is a dark green. The background is an inky black; the overall look is very reminiscent of the 90s, and I once owned a skirt with an extremely similar pattern.I love how easy this skirt is to pull on and off; I’m disabled, and I love easy to wear clothing. You can dress this up with a fancier top or a well cut jacket; you can dress it down with a tee shirt or tank top or camisole. Now, in February, I’ve worn this with tights underneath and a cardigan on top, by layering, it’s comfortable for chilly days. It’s going to be fine in soring and summer, too; the fabric is light and breathes well.I love the pockets; they are good sized and convenient for storage. I’m a type 1 diabetic; I wear an insulin pump and CGM, and I love knowing I can pop it into one of the pockets on this skirt and forget about it. The other pocket is big enough for an iPhone, so I’m set for the day.Initially I thought this was cut slightly wider than I preferred, then I realized that somehow I wound up with a size L. I thought I had ordered a M, I usually wear a S or M skirt. Maybe I messed up on the drop menu. Anyway, it is just a touch wide for my taste, but it is also a size large… I think this probably does fit true to size, and a size M would have the perfect width/drape on me. Even though this is a bit large on me, it still is figure flattering and comfortable. At the current price ($23.99) I think you get a lot of value; this maxi skirt is well made, versatile, and comfortable enough to wear all day long. This is a nice wardrobe basic; you can style it endless ways.

So gorgeous and soft! I love the flowers that adorn this skirt so gracefully! I ordered a size up, since I knew I didn't want to wear it high waisted, but more of a midrise, like an inch below my belly button. Ordering an xl instead of a large did the trick, making it sit comfortably lower. It's for a nice flow to it, and drape. I felt warm on a nice cool spring day, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to wear it down here in the Florida heat of the summer. But for spring it was so nice. I think that it's going to be very versatile, and able to pair this with different foot wear and tops. I had styled this with a cream sweater, and sandals, but thought it went well with a tank and cardi too!Now one thing that is a drawback, it's line dry/hang dry only. I hung it on a hanger with clips in my house, it took 2 days to finally dry! So not only do you not put it in dryer but it takes forever and a day to dry. I'm sure it will dry much faster outside! However, I still love this skirt! I'm tall and more pear shaped wearing a 12 curvy long in jeans. I ordered an xl and when it was sitting lower than "high waist" as intended it was brushing the tops of my feet!

Ok, I know this is a weird place to start, but... the pockets.Clothing companies have recently discovered women actually like to have pockets in their clothes. Unfortunately, they typically do something I call "lazy pockets" where they pick the most unflattering location on the clothing like, say, the widest part of your hips, leave a slit in the side seam, and sew a floppy pouch in it. These pockets are not lazy pockets. They're at the waistband, have a tailored opening, and are anchored inside at the waistband so they stay flat and can actually hold items up. THANK you!Ok, so the rest of the skirt:The length is perfect for me and I'm 5'3". I'm wearing it at my natural waist and it's at my ankle. The waistband is comfortable and flattering. I have sensory sensitivities and bunchy elastic waistbands on my belly make me want to crawl out of my skin. This waistband is made with very wide elastic and is tailored so the front lays flat and the scrunchy part is in the back. I guess the back is what they're considering the "pleats", but it's not really a proper pleat. Pleats fold over themself and the folds are sewn in.The material is soft and springy and has a weight to it that pulls it flat, which I find flattering. Cat hair test is good - not too sticky, brushes off fairly easily. It IS a bit see-through, though, if you stand in front of a light or bend over. Probably want to wear boxers or something else full-coverage underneath.Overall I kind of love this skirt and expect I'll be wearing it often!
