I was intrigued by the concept of this wooden saxophone stand, so I decided to take a chance on it. It is beautifully made, but I did find a couple issues. First, this is supposed to be for either an alto or tenor saxophone. And the lower support piece has an adjustable position so that you get the best placement for supporting the lower part of the bell for each sax. But the top U-shaped grip for the bell of the saxophone, is, afterall, wood under the felt. So it can't be bent to best fit the different size bells. For me, I was using a tenor saxophone, and the bell was a snug fit, felt safe. But in the act of lifting the saxophone from the stand, the bell sticks in the support lifting the stand off the ground, which then drops off. Not an ideal situation. So I learned that you need to step on one of the legs to hold the stand in place when take the saxophone off. Also, in the description, it's described as easily taken apart so you can take on gigs with you. That is NOT true. It takes an allen wrench to remove the legs, and it is not a tight fitting wrench, so practically every turn, it falls off, for me, on the floor. No, this is most definitely a stand you put together once, tighten the screws firmly, and leave it alone.

I’ve had every sax stand out there, but this is the coolest and cheapest! I like the fact that you absolutely can not scratch your instrument with this one! It doesn’t fold up, but I don’t care because it’s going in my studio.

The stand works and looks pretty good. I haven't had any issues with stability, but the mass of the stand is not much, so it can be pushed around a little too easily. It is nice to be able to get my sax out of the case and on display in our music room.

This is a nice quality little stand. It arrives unassembled, and unfortunately there are no instructions included for how to put it together or even pictures on the box to show you what the assembled product should look like. We went back to look at the Amazon listing and were able to figure it out. There is one leg that is shorter than the other two, and that one goes at the back of the stand. The smaller half circle piece can be moved up or down to fit your instrument. That piece and the larger piece at the top are covered in soft velvety material to protect your instrument. Overall a nice stand. The kit includes the necessary screws and a hex key to put them in. Only took a few minutes to put it together. But would be a bit better if instructions were included, since it's a very simple assembly but not entirely self-explanatory.

This is a beautiful solid wood saxophone stand, so much classier than the ubiquitous black metal stands. It was easy to assemble, even without instructions, with just 4 hex screws and an adjustable finger tightening bracket. A hex wrench is provided in the box. I wanted to love it and give it 5 stars, but it came up a little short. The main issue is the curved support for the bell and the lower adjustable support each have a radius that is a little narrow, especially for the tenor sax. You can see space in both brackets with the tenor. The alto fits better, maybe too tight because the stand tends to stay on the sax when you pick it up. Another issue is that the soft fabric on the lower support didn't wrap around the wood like the picture and, with just a few days use, has started to deteriorate. With a bigger radius on the bell support and better coverage of the protective fabric on the lower support this stand would be better.
