I've had this tool for almost 3 years. If you cut your own firewood or cut trees down then you need this tool! It is light but strong and I have been able to get trunks as large as 20 inches diameter off the ground (I've rolled 24 inch trunks) and have never had any damage to it. Really fantastic!

Well made and very useful! Moving 22” oak logs with ease, and great for bucking felled trees.

Had to drop a diseased Live Oak tree. The tree was 30' tall and 26" in diameter. Was able to roll the log on the ground after removing the crown to half the log. I then was able to raise the half sections and cut the log into manageable pieces for the fire wood pile. Lifts extremely heavy logs for sectioning.

This works very well. If I could change one thing, I'd give it a bit more length. The 4ft (I think) is fine, but given that if we're using this, we're dealing with trees, branches and other non-miniature things, a bit more reach and leverage would be welcomed. Maybe I just need to be a bit stronger!I used this on elm which is a very stringy, heavy and wet wood. I had a 10ft length, about 18-20" in diameter, and that was too much for it (and/or me). Probably too much weight to pull it up and over onto the stand. My next go to is my logosol smart tree pusher, as it hooks, lifts and that did it: managed to get this length of wood enough of the ground to saw it in half, then into 18" lengths, all without getting the saw blunted in the ground.Next, I used on a smaller tree - about 14/15" in diameter, and this will easily roll over probably 15 foot length, up, and ready for cutting. Works very well: one cut, chunking it into thee 5 foot lengths was easy, and then those 5 foot lengths are easy enough to handle: just hook the jack on and over they go - then they're off the ground for cutting. Before this (I do all my tree work myself), I'd have messed around with lifting it onto another piece of wood - this is a definite time saver.Net exercise is the same - the task still gives that workout - just gets more logs done in the time.Recommend.

The tool makes cutting about 10 to 12 foot logs into for me 12 " rounds very easy. In the past we would just use whatever debris that might be underneath the log or just cut from the top , then turning with our old log hook. This tool is much easier to use and works well. Its well constructed of mostly aluminum. I have had no issues with strength. Since buying this tool I have figured out many ways on how to maximize its simple design to work for the way I like to work.with time mostly grab the log near the middle pull back and the log is out of the dirt and grass or mud. I then go to each end and cut off rounds aternating sides for balance but this works best for me. You may find with smaller diameter stock working from one end to the other faster and easier as I have but for bigger stock I like to use the tool from the middle.

While recently shopping for a log splitter online I came across a video review of this thing called a Timberjack. I see there are other products out there which are similar but the reviews on this thing seemed to confirm that this was the item to have. Not only is it lightweight but I am amazed at how easy it is to use on large logs. I only wish I had purchased this a long time ago. While there is some assembly required (the hook and the feet) my only complaint is that the instructions leave a bit to be desired since they're so small. Once I got it together I had to go online and look at a photo to discover I had the feet mounted wrong which wasn't a big deal but better instructions would have saved me the hassle. However setting that aside everything else about this tool is great! If you cut wood do yourself a favor and buy one of these because you won't be disappointed!!

Update: My first one melted in a wildfire. I'm buying another one. I got a lot of use out of my first one. They are a huge safety tool. I was out working without one today and I lost a good 25% or more of productivity without it. This thing is great!!!!! It helps to roll logs, but most importantly it lets you lift the log up off of the dirt. I have rocky soil, so hitting the dirt can shut me down while I either swap the chain or sharpen it. It's at least a 10 minute chore to sharpen the chain....One tip. Roll the log down hill. The handle of the woodchuck will stop the log from rolling farther. This tool is kind of heavy, but it's made to last and is very sturdy. Most of the tool is aluminum so you don't have to worry about rust plus it helps keep weight down.Overall a well designed tool. This thing would have saved me many hours over the last couple of years. I'm glad I finally rememberd to order one.
