I needed to get Metric Rivet Nuts and was unable to find them in my local hardware suppliers but was able to get what I wanted on Amazon

The ONLY thing about these is that you MUST get them properly installed. Then they are great. If you cross thread or try to set the bolts in at an angle, problems will show up.

These aren’t something that I use everyday, but are very useful to have around when installing hardware to sheet metal or any thin material requiring something be securely attached.Great quality construction & easily installed with the proper tools.

Stainless steel is a favorite due to its relative inertness and because its resists corrosion.The plan is to use these in aluminum panels to make them removable. Using rivet nuts eliminates the issue of enlarged screw holes when sheet metal screws are used instead of bolts.It will take a bit of trial and error to get the hole sizes just right but these look like they will hold well and are just what is needed.
