The globe arrived completely unassembled except for the equatorial marking tape being applied. The northern hemisphere was nested inside the southern hemisphere and because of this, the equatorial marking tape was entangled and twisted between the two hemispheres, rendering the equatorial marking tape completely useless. With the globe not being pre-assembled, it would have been far better to have supplied a small roll of the equatorial marking tape rather than it being pre-applied. Also, assembling the two hemispheres is extremely difficult, made of very cheap plastic, and the two halves don't snap together properly. This globe is definitely not worth its $60 price tag.

The globe itself is excellent. Great size. Readable countries. Sturdy material. The only thing not good was that the base has the paint peeling off. Not a lot but it is visible.

This globe is perfect for teaching our younger grandchildren about the world. It’s beautifully made and very sturdy on the stand. The colors are very vivid and plead to look at!

This is a beautiful, sturdy globe and a lovely, useful addition to our school room. It was easy to assemble the base and it is adjustable as to the tightness of the globe's metal stand so that it rotates easily. We will use this globe often in our studies of geography and social studies. I can recommend it for your family's home or your classroom!

Got this for my grandkids, and it is much more thorough data provided on this than any globe I have ever seen prior to this one. Having the hydrological, oceanic conveyor belt mapped out on it is a key piece of data to be sure. 13 inches is surprisingly bigger to the eye than it seems just reading it. How many times the global map has changed in my 50 years, I can only guess at in the moment, but it is a guarantee there have been several; updating maps and globes have kept cartographers busy for centuries, every generation needs a new, freshy one - and this seems to have it all. 60$ seems high for a globe, and it probably is, but good data for quality teaching provisions solid Knowledge - so for my own anyway, no price is too high as long as I can find a way to afford it!

This 13" globe from the product images look very nice. You can see an angle gauge along the curvature of the globe, giving the impression that the globe can tilt in various angles. This is far from the truth. This globe only spins around and cannot tilt. At the top of the globe, the timeline dial also does not move like other globes typically will. I like the wooden base and the ease of installation. Lastly, on some globes of this price range, mountains will appear 3 dimensional and feel like a bump whereas ocean will feel like a divot. The surface of this globe is flat and smooth. For this price range, I expect a lot more than what is given. As a result, I can't recommend this globe to anyone looking to get one unfortunately.PRO- easy to install- spins easily- wood baseCON- no working timeline dial at the top of the globe- globe does not tilt- the globe surface is smooth. no bumps for mountains or divots for ocean
