Great door latch. Works great except key doesn’t work. Not a big deal, wasn’t going to use the key anyway.

screws were not long enough for a 2'' wide door

I fixed this handle on my storm door. But lock did not work... When I used key, key is moving 360 degree and door does not get locked. I am disappointed with this product. I did not return the product because Amazon is charging me shipping cost despite I am prime member

This handle is good! I was specifically looking for a keyed version from Wright Products because I have another one of their handles with a keyed deadbolt. As I suspected, the keys were cut from the same blank so all I had to do was swap some of the "tumblers" around to make both doors use the same key.It comes with 5 or 6 different length screws instead of the long ones that you break to length. I also has 3 different height strikers and a set of shims, too! The instructions are actually pretty good!Another reviewer said the installation was difficult, even with two people! I have to admit that I struggled with it and I've been a professional automotive mechanic for almost 50 years! -BUT- Installing it was about the same as other handles I've done, even though the keyed lock adds more pieces to juggle. One hint - when breaking the key rod to the proper length for your door thickness. The instructions say to break it at the 1st exposed score but mine lined up right on the score mark. I was reluctant to break it at that one, fearing that it would be too short. So I made it one segment longer - BIG mistake! It was too long and wouldn't lock. It's REALLY hard to break off just one segment!Actually, two hints! Even after getting the key rod the correct length, I still could not lock it when the door was latched. This was because there was not enough clearance between the latch and striker (the part that mounts on the door frame). I had to use a chisel to recess the striker for more clearance. You may not have a problem with this.

Honestly better than it looks, which doesn't quite match the aluminum of our ancient screen door but does its job admirably. Easy to install and the instructions tell you everything you need to know. Parts are tightly fitted and the action when opening and closing the door is crisp. When installing a door latch of any kind, never is the phrase "measure twice, cut once" more vital. Mark everything, check your numbers, THEN install.

Initially, I was able to get this installed fairly quickly, but then the locking mechanism would not slide into the lock position. I took it back off, and studied how the mechanism should work and it worked fine when not screwed into the door. As soon as you tighten the screw it would not lock again. It wasn't getting caught on the screw. I think it was that the metal bar that controls the lock was too long and when you tighten the screw, it presses too tight in the handle and can't turn to lock. I tried trimming the bar several times even then I had trouble with the lock. I was finally able to get it to work but I had to make sure to not screw in the handle too tightly or it won't lock. It took a long time (way too long) to troubleshoot the locking mechanism thing. Other than that it seems like good quality.

Perfect! Just what I wanted and it works great. Much easier to get in and out of my back porch screened in area if I have a key to it! Don't know why they didn't just install it that way to begin with I had to do it all myself. Thanks again this is a great product and I were in the key works just fine.

In theory this looks great. In practicality it isn't worth the hassle. We installed a new door and wanted a handle with a lock. It took us longer to install this handle than it did the actual door. And it still isn't installed correctly. You can't tighten the screws to make it tight against the door because then it doesn't work. The bar that you have to trim bent while trimming so that was a treat trying to get it straight again. It's also a pain because the lock isn't attached to the handle so you have to hold it, the bar, spring, handle, inside handle.....even with two people it was almost impossible.
