For some reason, I used to destroy rear rims on my old hard tail. With my new bike build I refused to let this be an issue..... this is far far overkill for trail use, my muhgawd is it beefy. yes, it's a little heavier then your standard rim and would probably be better for a downhill bike but.... it. is. STRONG. no worries about bending this thing.

I use this for my commuter bike and have already (accidentally) curbed it twice, withstood the blows without issue. I weigh over 350 and this thing is holding perfectly true and rigid. will buy again, but to be honest I feel that this rim will last me years unless I ride it off a cliff.
