Notes:
1.It is better to use the tool with soft pad to protect sharp chisel teeth as it is expendable
2.Must be perpendicular to the perforated leather, and don't beat it with heavy hammer, you can use plastic hammer or nylon hammer
3.Use the tool with soft cushion to protect the cut tip, such as outrageous board or open plate
4. When not in use, can be coated with a layer of oil between the cut, put protective sleeve to do with the maintenance
5. When removing, always pull it out of your leatherwork straight, never shift it side to side to loosen it or this could snap the prongs. Avoid using leather that is so thick it makes removal difficult. If you work with leather that is thick enough to make removal difficult then a wider pricking iron is recommended.

I use them a lot and they are still holding up

No issues with these pricking irons. Sharp and consistent for the leatherwork I do.

These are usable but will need work. They come somewhat unfinished and dull. Consider the cost and time to make these workable when you consider the price.

One of the 2 teeth bent the first time I used it. Poor quality. Looked like it originally had more teeth but was then cut down to only have 2 (which is what I ordered). Disappointed bc other Wuta products other than irons have seemed good quality.

These are made from a poor quality steel. I use them, just like all my other stitching chisels, on a poly board and the tines bent out of shape before I could finish punching the holes on one project. And that’s not even factoring in how incredibly dull they were when they first arrived. Don’t waste your time or money on these.

Although these feel “heavy duty”, if you’re not prepared to polish the tines yourself, these are going to be a nightmare to use. Each time for each iron I received were ribbed and after punching a hole, retrieving the tine out was a struggle. So technically they work. But using these doubled my time on project because I had to wrestle the iron every punch. Pick something else.

I used this for less than 48 hours and they already bent. The quality is extremely poor. I hoped that if it was average quality it would be worth the cost, but I would recommend saving money and investing in a higher quality tool.

These are not 4mm spacing, they are 3.85mm (size #7). I was able to verify this by measuring with a scale and calipers. Total length is just over 19mm on the 6-toothed fork, which correlates to a #7 spacing. The other irons also reflect this. They are fairly well made, and after a bit of touch up sharpening, I think they will be good. The seller needs to update the description on these items to be 3.85mm.
