This one was actually better than I expected. (despite the high price, I kind of thought this wouldn't that good ..but this one proved me wrong). Might not be Poly Sync (which is my favorite conference speaker which I use almost everyday working at home), but quite good for sure (and this one is cheaper than poly sync I use, so it kind of makes them comparable in terms of quality vs price).I've set this up at my brother's where I frequent to visit and work, and it's been going strong over the last 5 months now. It's plug and play, so you don't need to set up anything. It works out of box as expected. If you've been using cheap conference speaker, you will definitely notice the difference I guarantee that.Might not be the best, but darn close to it (among conference speakers I have tried).Grab it when they are on sale or coupon is offered !So why not 5 stars? because it was delivered in badly distressed box. The box was torn I could see the speaker without even opening the box. I was a bit pissed but I guess it didn't damage the product in anyway. So I just kept using it. Still need to do a better job delivering sensitive electronics!

The many of us now using MacBooks which depend on a pair of USB-C ports and a headphone jack for connectivity know that it can be frustrating to set up anything that requires cabling. This conference speaker puck addresses that issue head on. The unit is relatively heavy, no doubt because it includes a high-quality speaker at the center of the hub. Around the sides it has four microphones, two high-speed USB-A ports, in and out USB-C ports, and an HDMI port. The USB-C ports are intended for a high-power (60 to 85 watt) USB power supply, passing most of that power along to your MacBook along the same cable that passes audio AND VIDEO data back to the speaker. This particular combination of ports means you can connect a large external display to the HDMI port, and a USB webcam to one of the USB-A ports, without additional dongles or hubs involved. It works stunningly well. The sound from the speaker is crisp and responsive; it’s good enough to play music while you’re waiting. The microphones, as you’d expect, are controlled through level technology that favors the microphone closest to an active speaker’s voice. Eight LEDs on the top turn blue to indicate which mic or mics are active at a given time. The same LEDs turn red when the mics are muted, which is accomplished by a touch-sensitive “button” on the top panel. Two similar touchpads increase and decrease sound volume. In operation the unit gets very warm on the bottom, but that’s not surprising considering how much is going on inside this puck. I would have appreciated an operations manual instead of the slip of paper that called out the controls, but you can search Halo 90 online and find YouTube information related to the product. This is a well-designed, well-manufactured product that is very welcome in my meeting toolkit, and I recommend it.

I love this speaker! I used it all day at work right out of the box it came with a cord to plug it in to the side of my computer. Right away I made a “test” phone call to one of my co-workers and it worked great. There was no instruction sheet or anything in the box but nothing was needed since after plugging it in my computer recognized it and took the call. On the speaker it has touch features to raise or lower the volume or mute the call. I really like how all the buttons light up red color as shown in my picture when you have the speaker on mute and then it it blue when you are off mute so you can easily see the status of your call. My co-worker said the sound on her side was crisp and clear and I could hear them well so over all I would highly recommend this speaker.

My day to day has been changed by covid to be jam packed with meetings and now working from home. While this is not a device I would have purchased for office use, it is definitely one I recommend for work from home. It untethers you from your desk and gives you physical control over your volume and mute controls. The device has 3 capacitive touch control buttons, two for volume and one for mute. Is easy to setup as you plug the included usb-c to usb-c cable into the Halo device and your device (PC/laptop/ipad.. as long as it has a usb-c port). For PC/Laptops, you may have to switch your audio input to the Halo device in your software. For example, although my windows 10 laptop will switch the system audio to the Halo device automatically, for my Jabber, Microsoft Teams, or Webex software, I usually have to switch the audio from the software settings. Thankfully it's only during initial startup of the laptop that requires switching, as the rest of the time it sticks. When talking on the device, there are white LED lights that circle the speakers and will light up depending on how well the speaker heard you. Actually like this feedback as it lets me know im being heard. When you click the mute button, all these LEDs will turn red which is a great visual indicator that you are on mute, better than the tiny mute button on your call that can often be easily ignored leaving you talking to yourself. Speaking of mute, the button on the device also controls mute and unmute on my Microsoft teams calls, but it does not control my webex or jabber calls. This means I'm often double muted on webex or jabber. Not a huge issue since I can unmute in the software and use the device mute to be my main mute option. My colleague confirm that my audio is quite clear even when I'm away from my desk so long as I'm in the same room and can see the device from where I'm standing.I did hook this up to my iPad via the USBC to USBC, and then used the HDMI port to hook up to a monitor. It mirrored my iPad display which was pretty nifty. If you travel and have to present on the go, this would be a quick all in one device for your presenting audio video needs.Hope you found this 👍helpful. Cheers mate 🍻!ITEM REVIEWED:WyreStorm Halo 90 Conference Speaker with USB-C Docking Function Supply Power to PC, 4 Noise-canceling Mics, Enhanced 360°
