One for one replacement of the worn OEM unit that occasionally allowed the radio to stay on and drain the battery after placing the shifter in park.If you use a 90º phillips screwdriver (regular or ratchet type) to access the two screws that secure this switch, you'll not have to remove extra parts of the center console other than the pieces immediately surrounding the shifter.Watch a youtube video on CX-5 shifter switch replacement to see how to remove those sections without breaking any tabs. Then chuckle a little as you use 90º phillips instead of mucking around with gaps, extra work and wasted time. It took 35 minutes from start to finish to swap out the switch.
