Very useful adapters that allow me to continue using my favorite old wall chargers with my new cell phones that only use USB C connections (and don’t even come with a new USB C wall charger).

The USB C port died on my laptop, so I ordered these adapters so I can still use USB C devices with it. This adapter is working well for that purpose and feels like a sturdy device that will hopefully last. I now have two extras I can use as back up or for other purposes like traveling.

Works well, charges fast, transfers data quickly as we. Solid design and use.

We needed some adaptors to allow us to plug some USB-C cables into the larger USB-A outlets, and these serve that purpose very well.

These USB-C>A adapters work well although they seem to be larger than they need to be (see pic). They may be able to handle more power and data than the small ones, but I haven't checked carefully. As far as I can tell from product descriptions, these can handle 100W and 10Gbps while the small ones can do 45W and 480mbps. That being said, I don't really have any need for this speed and power. I only use these occasionally to connect newer devices to my old computer.

The world is quickly transitioning from the USB-A standard to USB-C. Most devices I’m acquiring come with USB-C cables. Unfortunately, the real word is still on the USB-A standard. I took these adapters with me when I traveled to the Philippines and they saved my bacon more than once, mostly when charging my phone. For example, while my phone’s charging cable is USB-C, the USB charging ports were all USB-A. So were the charging ports on the tour buses. And so were the charging ports the drivers provided during a couple of long-distance private tours. So if you want to be able to charge your modern device anywhere, throw a couple of these in your travel cable bag (everyone has a magic bag of miscellaneous cables, don't they?) so you’re not sitting there crying when you remembered your charging cable and your phone is dead anyway.

I have bought several sets of cable adapters to meet various needs. Interestingly enough, I did not have an A plug to C female, so I got these. I have no complaints about the product; already have used one. However, it is likely you will find a less costly version, perhaps as even part of an assortment set, if you scroll down and down and down among the Amazon offerings. Or, perhaps you'll find these matched with a coupon that makes them more competitive. The nice packaging looks like it was made for the retail trade. I debated whether I should give this four or five stars, but decided that the price should not be an issue in this case. So: 5 stars.

I have an older laptop that doesn't have a USB-C port. I recently bought an Android 14 tablet that came with a USB-C to USB-C cable. I tried to transfer some data from my laptop to the tablet with a USB A - USB C cable, but that didn't work. I was curious to see if these adapters would work for transferring data from my laptop to the tablet and that was the reason for ordering these, and I'm happy to report that these work wonderfully and transferring data. I was thinking maybe the tablet had a problem because the USB data transfer option was disabled when I tried it with the other cable, and it is such a relief that the tablet doesn't have a problem there and I'm able to transfer data successfully.
