I just started to snowboard last season and use this wax iron to wax my board after the current season. It heats up well and is easy to use for a beginner like myself.

It holds the temperature right. You must remember as with any iron to start waxing at a lower temperature to avoid risking burning the wax and board. I wish the dial showed temperature in Fahrenheit as it only shows Centigrade.

This will replacing an old iron of my husbands. This works with the snowboard with nice smoothness and has a thick, high edged sole plate that works better than most iron's out there or whatever you are substituting for ironing. It is easy to read the temperature and has a nice cord attached that does not get in the way.

This is a very nice wax iron for beginners to pros. I actually had an iron from a set that was a basic iron and this one is actually slightly larger and also the temperature seems to be more stable.The temperature was easy to adjust and the iron got hot very quickly.The only complaint I have is quality control. It wasn't enough to deduct a star but it's mainly quality control. You can see on one of the phots that the iron had a ding on the surface. Again, just cosmetic but still not great when you receive a new product.

My son will love this, but not as much as I will love this. He has ruined more than I care to share of my irons here at home. He uses them for his snowboard all the time. This item came fast as described, and it did heat up very fast. I have no doubt this will be perfect for what he’s going to use it for if I can get a picture of him using it in the future I will upload it. But for now I’m very happy with the weight and instructions and quality of this item.

Finally upgraded from using an old, retired clothes iron and realized what I have been missing. This dedicated waxing iron features a thick, high edged sole plate that does not have all the dirt and debris catching crevices of a clothes iron. The temp dial is clearly marked with degrees C and F and has a very positive clicking detent. Even the cord's strain relief is nicely designed.
