This safe is absolutely a great deal for your money, fast biometric reader and keypad. Very well made. Keep it simple and safe.

The metal is a little thin and the thumbprint scanner not the greatest but for the number of guns that it holds it’s amazing. I prefer the keypad over the biometric scanner. The safe will not stop a determined thief, but will keep your firearms safe from small Children. I wish the internal foam pad were angled to position your pistol for easy pick up. Also, if you’re expecting a fireproof safe, buy a vault tech safe. This is a good budget for those who were just getting into firearms and don’t want someone shooting themselves.

Perfect little safe. I use this safe to securing store a gun and it has enough room for a gun and a few boxes of ammo. You could certainly fit an additional gun in here if needed. Has a small light inside to help you see contents in the dark but only the upper level. The fingerprint reader works mostly flawlessly. I have opened the safe roughly 100 times and it has only failed to read my finger twice and that was probably my fault. As others have said, you can store many fingerprints so just scan your finger print multiple times with multiple angles and this will work great for you. It is a sturdy safe but if you are looking to store something truly valuable you would probably want to spend more money on something more robust but this is perfect for securing things that you don't want folks around the house or guests to get in to.

I was extremely impressed with how well made this safe is. Everything about it exudes quality, from the textured heavy grade steel to the packaging (the precision made metal keys came in a small black cardboard box inset into the packaging foam, with the word "Keys" on it). Programming the keypad and fingerprint sensor is very easy. Instead of gas cylinders that can over time lose their charge, this safe uses strong springs to open it when unlatched. The biometric fingerprint sensor works great: just lay your previously programmed finger onto it and presto, the top springs open virtually instantaneously and the LED inside lights up. (I tried it with other non-programmed fingers; it blinks an error indicator and does not open.) [NOTE: If you prefer to not use the keypad or fingerprint sensor for some reason, there is always the option of opening the case with either the two keys that come with it. Just don't leave the keys where a kid or other unauthorized person can find them.] The case comes with a black vinyl coated heavy duty steel cable with a loop at one end and the other end being a threaded bolt, so you can wrap the cable around an immovable object (e.g., eyebolt in wall, or the headboard of an antique metal bed), and then stick the threaded end of the cable into a hole in the back of the case, and secure the cable by screwing the provided stainless steel nut onto the bolt that is protruding into the interior of the safe. I have three pistols stored in mine nestled in the slotted foam block that came with the case, with room for another pistol in the foam. The layout is as shown in the product listing: butts of guns being at the front of the box behind the compartment containing the keypad and electronics, muzzles pointed to the back. My largest pistol is a Beretta 9mm 92FS Compact semiautomatic; it fits fine but there is very little extra room at either end. The other two guns are smaller revolvers; they fit with plenty of room left over. If you have a longer gun(s), you can mount it side to side (there is more room this way because the battery compartment, keypad, sensor and electronics are located along the front part of the box, whereas there is nothing at either end except the side of the box). I feel confident that this safe will last for years, and protect our great-grandkids from getting into my guns.

I use this to keep my 9mm locked up. It is the perfect size for my needs. I am sure if someone was intent on getting into it, they could. But it keeps my pistol away from little kids' hands and prying eyes. My one gripe is the fingerprint reader. It works fine, but it is focused on a small portion of your fingertip. Be patient and practice using it. You can also mute the sound so that is a nice feature to have.

While I might not trust this if I had children, this is a great low cost box to keep your firearms in. The fingerprint reader is just ok .. i submitted 3 versions of 1 thumbprint to make sure each area of my thumb is recognized and it still won't read it unless it's perfectly aligned somehow. You can still use the buttons, and make them silent so that's a plus.I have 4 handguns locked away, and my 1911 is the largest it will fit - the barrel end and dovetail touch front and back, however if I limited myself to 2-3 firearms and rotated everything 90° it would fit fine. It will hold a couple loose mags but no boxes of ammo when loaded up. If you're storing 1 one firearm you have more room. The interior is cheap foam and serves it's purpose. It also has holes to hard mount to a flat surface.I'm happy with it for now, until I need a bigger box.

Had this safe for about 6 months or so now. Overall I like it, it holds my firearm in its holster (using a P320 M18 with TRex arms holster), wallet, and a few other things and still has room to spare. Basically, before I go out anywhere I stop at it and load up my EDC items. Easy setup and backup key options are helpful as well. However, one thing I don't like is that the fingerprint sensor is very particular and beeps loudly at you if it doesn't go through. Your finger also has to be in the exact right spot or it won't go through. Being a firearms safe, I'd like the option to turn the beeping off and it just flashes if my print doesn't go through, idea behind that is to not alert an intruder of my location. The sensor will only read your print at a specific angle and a specific pressure, so pressing too soft or too hard will make the print not go through, and it will yell at you for it. This is not the best for those quick, high-stress home defense situations when you lose all sense of fine motor skills. I know that is a negative, but otherwise, I really do like this safe even with the drawbacks. It has lots of room and keeps things plenty secure.
