Had a fish that was recovering from an injury and was struggling to swim properly. By placing it in this net tank with some plants and a small hide, he was able to relax and heal without being moved out of his familiar surroundings. A good buy for what I needed.

I bought this aquarium mesh fish net for a breeder tank instead of buying another aquarium. I have another one that I use to quarantine fish. It’s useful and a good value for the price.

If you buy this, also buy super glue, because this thingy thang likes to self disassemble. You see you buy it to keep your bebe fish alive and stuff. It keeps there moms and dads from eating them, and the filter from sucking them up. I for one am thankful human parents don't like to eat their children nearly as much as fish parents do. If human parents did do that, I wouldn't buy this product to keep babies safe, because it really didn't work well for fish. Month one, it was ok. Month two it started coming undone and baby fish started to get nommed. Month three it was constantly falling apart, fish were dying, it was a travesty. So many babies became un-happy meals. So I got super glue. I glued it all together and it worked ok-ish. But then the suction cups on this thing-- they're not so great. The babies went for a cruise a few times and then this thing sank- total titanic style, but no DiCaprio- their heart did not go on, because it was eaten. Are you tracking, the thing came undone floated in the tank, sank, and the babies parents ate their faces and their whole bodies too! Yeah there are better versions of this product. Sorry. I don't often give negative reviews, but yeah. I give it two stars because for the first month it worked. Then it didn't, then it didn't again, and now it is in a landfill somewhere, because I sent it to the trash. Good bye baby fish titanic, you had one job.

I’ve had this for awhile now but have not had the occasion to use it - until today. I have a 20 gallon tank full of guppies, that, as you may know, breed like rabbits. Consequently, I’ve set up two 5 gallon tanks for when my pregnant females have their fry. But I bought 10 full red albinos from a breeder that arrived today, much younger and smaller than expected. This mesh breeder box was put together in less time than it took for my fry to acclimate to the water temperature in my big tank while still in the plastic bag they arrived in. The breeder box has 6 suction cups securing it to the side of the tank. Since it is mesh, water easily flows through it so the fry are continuously swimming in fresh, warm, filtered water that is never stagnant. In a couple weeks when they are big enough not to be eaten, I can release them into the tank itself, into the same water with the same parameters they’ve been used to since they arrived. This is not a small box. I could easily have 10-20 more fry in this box without overcrowding. I was also able to put a handful of guppy grass in the box so they have somewhere to hide and feel safer. Glad I bought this. I’m waiting for Black Friday to buy a 40 gallon tank and will then buy 2 more of these for that tank as well. This is a simple box, easy to assemble, and does exactly what it’s supposed to - keeps fry in the same tank with fresh water but safe from being eaten.
