I've installed about 20 of these types of kits on various bikes and they are generally all about the same, I thought this one would be as well.First First, I got the model which uses the OEM License light and signals and I'm happy with the final fit. The materials are quality and overall finish is good. In the end, it looks nice and fits nice but I had to modify it to work.Instructions walk you through removing the old components off your original fender and then through assembling the parts back on this kit. Two washers which were indicated in the kit to make the license plate light fit more snugly were missing but it was easy enough to find one which accomplished the same thing in the toolbox. The next hiccup I ran into here was the 'clocked' holes which should line up with and align the factory turn signals were cut too small and could not be used without modification but no problem, there's a bigger hole next to it which does fit the OEM signal but just doesn't self align. No big deal, it just could have been a little nicer with a little quality control.Next, instructions have you mount the assembled unit back onto the bike with the supplied Stainless bolts, 2 more hiccups... the supplied washers, although 'technically' are big enough to not pull through the holes on the bike completely, are obviously too small and partially pull through the hole. A trip to the hardware store found 8 Stainless washers the proper size and this situation finds remedy as well. The final issue is the instructions show one portion of the mount equipped with studs except the kit is supplied with bolts, it soon becomes apparent why studs were used in the original build. When the unit is fit onto the bike, the body of the turn signal obstructs access to the hole where the bolt should secure the unit to the bike. This requires on-bike disassembly of the turn signals so they can be left hanging while the unit is secured to the bike. The turn signals can then, more awkwardly be secured back onto the kit. So the kit either needs to be supplied equipped with the studs or the directions updated. In summary, I'm still not upset with the kit, a little QC would have made it really nice. After I found some parts in my toolbox, added $4 worth of washers, back-peddled on the provided instructions and fiddled with aligning the turn signals where the kit didn't, I'm satisfied with the final install. Hopefully they will remedy these issues in later kits.
