Standard hoses do NOT fit! This is slightly smaller, and it is impossible to get a standard garden hose to screw on. Even with plumber's tape, it will not form a good seal.

It was what we needed for our swimming pool but took to long to arrive.

This product will fit the pool but you will need to build up the end for the hose end. It will do what you need but it's not a perfect fit. Also the plastic is cheap. It will cross thread itself easily it is not worth more than what the sellers asking price is. The manufacturer is not making a quality product. If you buy this product make sure to build up the hose end till the hose will fit without stripping the fitting.

I have a Best Way steel frame 24" round. This piece disappeared. Ordered this so I could drain the pool. Good quality and performance. We had to use a little thread tape on it but it worked beautifully 👍

I wasn't sure if it would work but this is the perfect part!

Works perfectly for above ground pool drain.

Worked well. I clamped a 1 1/2” backwash hose to it so it would drain faster. A garden hose is a little too small and would take days to drain the pool

I mean, I don't know how I did it, but I have used an above ground pool for THREE years now without this thing, getting by by placing a rusty nail to wedge the valve open. But no more! My life is changed! This little six dollar piece of plastic will be replaced in a few years by a free 3D print file, sure, but right now in 2024, it's worth every damn penny. I mean it. I haven't been this excited about a piece of plastic since I shoplifted Tomax, one half of the Crimson Twins from Cobra (Real American Hero GI Joe action figure), from Wal-Mart in 1987. But unlike Tomax, I didn't get home only to discover to my horror that I already had him, and that I should have stolen Xamot instead. And best still, buying this thing is not against the law, and it carries almost no risk. Now I can finally water my apple trees with the pool water!
