I have an Axiom 25 midi keyboard. I use the Widi Bud and MD-BT01 to connect it to my Windows 10 Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet. I added the MD-BT01 in, because I use it too.

I used the mi.1 bluetooth-to-MIDI 5-pin plugged into my synth and this MIDIbud into my computer. Works like a charm, no latency issues.

I used this with a Yamaha wireless midi transmitter to play my Roland Aerophone wirelessly with my computer. After updating the firmware, it works flawlessly. It's recognized immediately as a midi port in my software and there are no latency issues.

This is a fantastic device. It’s very low latency and shows up in DAWs and VST players as a midi input and output channel. It’s truly plug and play. The red led indicates when it is receiving midi data. Works with Cubase, Kontakt, VIP, Pianoteq, Band in a Box. It works with Akai LPD8, CME xkey, Korg microkey, and everything I’ve tried. It doesn’t need an app but there is one available to show its connection status Abe update firmware. I’ve got two of them.

I use the widi bud as part of a setup to make my EWI USB a wireless device. It worked right out of the box and is class compliant. It shows up as a midi device and it just works. There is not a noticeable latency until you are probably 20 or more feet away.

I received my WIDI Bud today and plugged it into my Windows 10 PC. There was no need to install a driver or anything, but I downloaded the WIDI Plus app from the CME website. I plugged my Yamaha Wireless MD-BT01 Bluetooth MIDI adapter into my Yamaha WX5 Wind Controller and turned it on. It was recognized by the WIDI Bud and connected automatically. I wasn't expecting it to be so easy. I don't even think I needed the WIDI Plus app, but it was nice to see it work. I closed the app and opened a project in my DAW (Cakewalk) with EastWest sounds. I went to my MIDI devices and found the WIDI Bud there, so I selected it and closed settings. Then I selected the WIDI Bud as the input on an instrument patch (French horn) and started playing. The WIDI Bud performed just fine. Latency is almost nil, just as advertised. I played some very fast passages and the notes kept right up with me.The only negative so far is that if I move too far from the computer, notes seem prone to hanging. I attribute this mostly to my studio setup, though, as there's a lot of radio interference in here (WiFi, other Bluetooth devices, etc.), and my computer is under my desk. I wasn't expecting a whole lot of range from a tiny little dongle, anyway. I believe the range would be much better if it was connected in a better location with less interference. It's fine for my purposes. All in all, this was a great buy. Now I can use my WX5 wirelessly in my studio with almost no detectable latency. I should have bought one of these a long time ago. I may be persuaded to add more Bluetooth MIDI gear now.Other Products Mentioned:Yamaha MD-BT01 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CFOHF6U/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_2XKQCbH0PGFSNYamaha WX5 - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000E61NYM/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_JkLQCb8B921SJ

Had a Yamaha UDBT01 USB Wireless Adapter that won't work automatically with Windows 7 as this OS doesn't have the latest Bluetooth software needed - Windows 10 is beginning to support MIDI over B/T. The CME Widi Bud USB has the necessary drivers and works fine with Windows 7. No audible latency using Kawai VPC1 -> Pianoteq 6.

Whilst CME explicitly states on its website that WIDI BUD works with iOS devices, it currently DOES NOT (as of the date of this review) and HAS NOT for months. I had to exchange numerous emails with CME support before I was finally informed that, yes, there is currently a problem with WIDI BUD and iOS devices. The problem is that whilst the WIDI Plus tablet app or computer software will see the iOS device as a connectable Bluetooth MIDI device and initially connect, it will then immediately disconnect. This occurs constantly. CME is well aware of this bug but their website not only says NOTHING about it, but the website clearly states that WIDI BUD IS compatible with iOS devices running iOS 4.2 and newer. I've also been told that whilst CME's engineers are working on this issue, they (and Texas Instruments' engineers) do not understand why it is happening. The current incompatibility with iOS devices may be solved at any time but at the moment, my WIDI BUD is useless and cannot be returned because it took me so long to work out why I was having problems with my iOS devices not connecting. However, I will say that WIDI BUD appears to connect perfectly to non-Apple Bluetooth MIDI devices.
