Every once in a while a product exceeds my expectations. This filter wrench was one of those. It fit just right on my 64mm Mazda 3 oil filter which allowed it to spin right off. The filter wrench nut can be driven directly with a 1/2 inch socket wrench or by using either a 7/8 inch or 22mm socket. It was made with heavy gauge sheet metal with the nut being beautifully welded on. The plating looked very nice. I have about 6 other oil filter wrenches but didn’t have a 64mm size and I couldn’t get either enough leverage nor grip with the universal oil filter wrenches. No problem with this one.

I had a lot of problems trying to find the right tool. This wrench is the perfect fit for the oil filter in my motorcycle. 2.5 inches; 64 mm.

The side that fits on the oil filter seems to fit fine. A little loose.But this item is not for a 3/8” drive ratchet. Should have done a better decimal conversion.

Have not used it yet. My old oil wrench was stamp steel it was always hard to install and even harder to remove ( had to bang on and to remove I had to pry off the new filter with the 3/8 inch socket extension, always worried that I might damage the new filter or make a mess with old filter. Also from day one the 3/8 socket receiver started distorting getting looser every time I used it. Long story short this product looks the part "cast steel, smooth finish, chrome or nickel finish, weighs more than the stamped steel, with a robust 3/8 receiver. This wrench looks like a generational tool of where it is handed off to the next gen. Also down the road the manufacturer no longer exists because they put to much quality in their product to have any repeat customers. If you wait some years and you see this in garage sale for .50 cents you will think WOW as you pay the money. If I find anything is counter to this narrative I will amend the review. P.S. All my bad. I needed to oil change my UTV and had to get a head-on oil filter wrench. I have the usual side operating oil wrench but there was no room to use it.So I got this, making sure that it is, in fact, a 2.1/2” wrench—the same size as the oil filter. It is, in fact. What I didn’t look at was the size of the drive socket. So, when oil change time came and I tried to attach my 3/8” socket drive, I found this is 0.8”. Aargh. I said to myself “…you’re gonna need a bigger driver…”Happy ending: I was able to get a crescent wrench on the hex bolt so I was able to use the oil filter wrench to replace the oil filter so that was good. But I either need a bigger driver, a driver adapter, or I need to learn to read the entire specification before ordering.But it worked.

This is a great filter wrench, nice quality fits good in the filter. It is 1/2” drive. I bought it for my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 but, it will not fit into the space needed to use it. With a 1/2” drive ratchet attached, it’s too long and hits the frame across from the filter. Returning it.
