I have an old barn that is always in need of some kind of repair. Usually, I don’t want to wait for help to lift beams and such so I needed a pulley system to be my second hand. So far for simple beams it has done the trick but It doesn’t quite feel like it could move massive, heavier objects. I personally wouldn’t push it to the 1000 pound mark if that is what you are specifically buying this item to task it with.

I lifted approximately 450 lbs with this set and I felt like it was going to snap at any moment, but it did what I was asking it to do. I certainly wouldn't try to lift anything near 1000 lbs.

I injured a knee while re-installing to our huge front porch ferns this Spring. So I went looking for a way to handle their weight without risking further damage to my aging body. This heavy duty block and tackle system seems to be a near perfect answer to my problem. It reduces the strength required to lift (or lower) our decades old front porch ferns (that now weigh roughly 50 pounds) from the porch floor to their sturdy hanger just below the porch eves to a much more manageable force that even my wife can handle.So when it came time to take our ferns down from their lofty perch this Fall, I utilized this block and tackle system to slightly raise them off their hooks and gently lower them down to the porch floor for transport into their winter storage hooks in front of our garage windows. I may still be limping a bit from my injury this Spring, but there were no further injuries this Fall!

This cable pulley wheel system works flawlessly for all my lifting and hauling tasks. The wheels glide smoothly, making it easy to move heavy loads with minimal effort. The build quality is solid and can handle substantial weight. It was easy to install, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in efficiency.

This is handy to have around the shop or barn and you will find many uses when you can’t lift something by yourself. This is easy to setup and use and you get plenty of rope to make it useful. It says it is good for 1000LB, but I don’t think I will test its limits. While it seems pretty well made, it does not seem very heavy duty. The price is fair for a set with this capacity and having a set around for random tasks is almost a necessity if you find yourself working with heavy objects. Good quality at a good price, it is worth having this in your toolbox for when you need it. It will save your back for sure.

When my husband saw this, he definitely was interested, so I decided to get it for him. He's a hunter & this hoist device worked great for hanging his deer before taking it to be processed. The rope material provides an easy pull without any entanglement. And the pulley works smoothly along with the rope ensuring am easy flow. It says it'll hold up to 1000 pounds, which hubs has yet to test that theory since he only uses it to hand a deer. It's made well & works great for hoisting small items.

This is a very nice, sturdy, good quality 50 foot cable style, hoist pulley, block and tackle set with a 5:1 lifting power and a maximal lift weight of 1,000 pounds. It’s a manually, unpowered hoist you operate yourself vs powered. It’s very sturdy and the quality is good and it’s a nice set.Note that it does not have a break or lock mechanism on it. So if you need that style, this one won’t work for you.Note that they did not print the weight rating directly printed or marked on any of the items in the set except the instructions and carton. It is listed on the carton it comes in and in the instructions as well as the listing itself. I would prefer it to always be listed on the hardware itself so there is never any question or confusion about the weight capacity rating. This is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars vs 5 stars.The set includes:-1 dual hook ended block-1 50 foot cable-2 soft webbing loops-1 pair of work gloves-1 storage bag-InstructionsIt comes in a nice storage pouch that holds all the items and instructions easily. It has a nice pair of standard work gloves with grippy palm pads that also fit in the included storage bag. Though instructions are included, you may also want to print, save or refer to the listing pictures for details and use instructions as well.The sturdy metal galvanized alloy steel hooks (one on each end) are an anti-drop style and measure 2.13 inches across and have an opening of 0.63 inches (see the listing pictures). It’s a dual hook style with metal bearings, a 270 degree swivel movement, and safety latches. It’s rated to be rust proof with a zinc plated coating.The included cable is 50 feet in length, 0.177 (4.5mm) in diameter, It’s made of polypropylene and is sturdy and nicely put together and finished. It fits well on the hooks and they work well together and have smooth movement.The weight capacity with the items in the set is 2,000 lb breaking strength (not lift strength, but the cable is rated as it’s breaking strength). The load capacity is capped at a maximum of 1,000 pounds. You can not safely go over 1,000 pounds in load capacity. Works great! Would be better if it had a cam to lock the rope. Works well by just tying it off
