I needed help in digging up sago palms after one of my dogs was poisoned by a piece of one that had been cut. (He is ok now after a very expensive hospital stay.) I had 6 palms & wanted the rest dug up instead of cut with a chain saw. I ordered this jack hammer with the shovel attachment. I should mention that I am strong for a short woman, but I am 73 years of age. I tried the jack hammer shovel around one of the palms & it worked great, but was very heavy for me to use & I was afraid I could not use it safely. My friend borrowed a tractor with a backhoe to take care of the palms & I thought I would return the shovel. I made sure that it was returnable when I purchased, but did not realize it was not free. With a return fee of about $65, I decided to keep it & will probably give it to someone who can use it. The product itself is well made, worked great for the less than 5 minutes I tried it. It has several attachments for jack hammering, as well as the shovel & comes in a storage case with wheels. I knocked off a star because it says on the site that it is eligible for return, refund, or exchange - does not mention there is a cost. I also understand that it is a heavy item to ship. In summary, it works great, appears to be very well made - just realize that it is almost half the cost of the item if it should need to be returned.

For the DYI this all you need, it is powerful durable and we get the job done. It seems to use a little oil but that's all good for the price.

Jackhammer worked for only 10 seconds then wouldn’t “hit” anymore. Upon returning, our construction company was told we had to pay for shipping for a refund evaluation of the product. We paid nearly as much as the item on shipping. The vendor refunded the cost of the item but refuses to reimburse the shipping. The vendors position is that we should have contacted them directly(likely in China) and requested a return shipping label. This is a scam. They ensure that no one will pay almost as much as the product to return it with hopes that the vendor will do the right thing. I assure you, they will not

Used this to dig ditches for electric lines in the Arizona dessert. Broke up the rocky soil with little effort. Pretty inexpensive when compared to other name brands. Much heavier than the other brands. Overall for a cheaper brand I give it 5 stars.

Can't say enough positive things about this product. I demoed an entire 13x26x5” pad with this hammer. I knew it was probably under powered for what I was doing so I fully expected it to stop working before I finished. This is so much less expensive than a full size jack hammer, I was planning on just buying another one when it broke. It never did break though, and it still works just the same as when I took it out the box. Very well worth the money and highly recommend.

I would not hesitate to purchase this again!! Especially for around the house projects!! Upon further review, this was a god sent tool. Love it!!! Don’t ever think twice about buying it!!!
