Solid well built, shipped fast. Must be used with pads to avoid damaging instrument but pads are not included. Description of product should make clear that pads are not included.

This thing is heavy, and well built. Seems to be solid brass. I haven’t used it yet but seems like it should function as intended. The only thing that would make it better, which I intend to add, is little piece of cork or leather to the contact points of the clamps, so you don’t crush the wood as you tighten the clamps down

Tool is more rugged than I expected. Used it to repair a crack in violin and it worked very well.

I needed an edge clamp for a one-off repair, and considered constructing one myself, because of the expense involved with buying one from a luthier's tool source, Buying this on-line was quicker and easier than putting one together myself, and did just the job that was needed. A great bargain and tool for the price.
