In the title, “OD” is the size of the tube you will connect, not the size of the female compression. NPT is the size of the male or female thread, not the OD of the male thread, please notice!
About the tube:
1.Compression fitting just can be used for connecting hard tube, such as steel tube, copper tube, etc. If you want to connect hoses, you may need use it with a compression insert bush. Otherwise, it may cause leakage.
2.Please ensure the cut of the connecting tube is flat, otherwise it may also cause leakage.
Using the step
1.Cut the seamless steel tube with suitable length, the cut surface should be smooth and free of burrs
2.Put the nut and ferrule on the steel pipe in sequence, paying attention to the direction
3. Apply lubricating oil on ON the connector body and the ferrule, insert the steel pipe into the joint body to the end, and start to tighten the nut by hand

The fit on the internal crush washers is spot on. the tubing fits in snugly, and once tightened down, the tube doesn't budge at all. very well made.

A great little stainless fitting with ferrules included and ready to use. The threads are well cut, burr free and lightly polished. This fitting will likely out live any system that it is installed on. At half the price of the same fittings at a box store, I can recommend purchasing a few to keep on hand at the ready.
