YN16mm F1.8S DA DSM is YONGNUO's the second E-mount APS-C lens for Sony mirrorless cameras, with a focal length of about 24mm (equivalent to 35mm full frame) and a large aperture of F1.8. It is a long-awaited large-aperture wide-angle lens for mirrorless camera users.

Recently had an electrical accident with my old sigma lens… decided I’d give this one a try and here’s what I like more than the sigma 1. Build quality the metal across the lens feels better. 2 size even though they are the same focal length the yongnuo is significantly more compact which I like for my Zv-E10 the old lens almost looked comical at that sizes also the autofocus on the yongnuo is much much more quite and the sharpness of the image is comparable and really great I use this camera for a lot of overhead product shots and one thing I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE about this lens is that it has a manual toggle switch for manual and autofocus which I’ve found myself loving for dialing in very specific focus on things I’m capturing! The value thing lens brings is fantastic in now excited to try their other lenses at different focal lengths! The only slight downside id give this is that the filter size is a little less common but it’s nothing to steer you away from!

A hidden gem! One of the best lenses for Sony I have ever purchased - and I have quite a few. It’s extremely sharp - even- wide open - small and compact, and very good build quality. The extra button on the lens and USB port are unexpected and welcomed. I have been looking for a fast16mm (24mm equiv.) for street photography, and this beats out the Sony 15mm 1.4 and the Sigma 16mm 1.4 by a mile in that it’s sharper, smaller, lighter - and less than half the price. This lens will be on my a6400 for a long time.

Decided to get back into the camera hobby and this is the first APS-C camera I decided to experiment with since I last had one in 2010. This lens is ridiculously good for the price. Highly recommended for beginners to explore with non-fixed lenses. Definitely there are better name brand lenses but if you are not ready to shell out a huge investment on lenses, this one is definitely worth the buy to try.

Auto focus motor is op 👌🏻But in video mode auto focus breathing is there .Otherwise great lens for starters and also for professionals.Go for it, far better than sigma 16 1.4

The packaging was great, yet somehow the rear element was shattered. Naturally, the last one in stock so the only recourse is to return. Probably best to just opt for the Sigma 16mm.

Used on a Sony A7riiiI was getting 42 megapixels and Instantly went down to 18 when I attached it to my camera.I'm a quality person and have seen better results with the 28-70 2.8. It automatically adjust to the camera and I didn't see the round ring that everyone was raving about in the reviews.
