Worked Great on Lithium Battery charging. My only note is it cuts off when the battery is fully charged but the 100% indication goes off to.

I have only used this to charge a 200AH LifePO4 battery and it did really well. I was able to cycle thru the different current modes and verify that the battery was being charged near the correct amps by verifying with a Victron Smart Shunt. After that, I left the current mode in the Auto menu, where the battery charged at about 15 amps until it got near full charged and then started backing down on amps. This is a very solid unit, with easy to operate menus via buttons. The battery clamps are nicely built and should last a long time. The cooling fan when it ran was quiet. I was glad to replace my ancient battery charger with one that can handle all the modern batteries.

I have an " oreillys" $130 car battery in my car, it was a replacement 2 years ago for a rubbish one that failed after 9 months of partial use, as I start my car every 4 weeks as a general rules - NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WHEN I USED BOSCH ( made in germany ) car batteries - I will replace this rubbish batter with one of them, when I find an autozone in future. So this battery charging box was great - 8 weeks of nor using my car, the battery was DEAD! although on AUTO CHARGE it took around 36 hours to charge to 100% over the period of using it in daylight hours only, as we have had FREEZING and just under FREEZING temperatures - so I sent a cable through my window to the drive and powered the battery was in the car.I was concerned at first because the increments go up in steps of 20% and when it got to 40% which seemed to take forever, it stayed there for 12 hours !! then it crept through 60% and 80% faster and then finally on the 3rd day I left is charging ... it reached 100% and auto switched off.The only NOTICEABLE improvement I would make to this product is a more accurate readout on the screen of " PERCENTAGE CHARGED SO FAR " .. I was not even sure what half the symbols actually meant even after reading the instruction booklet. A BRIGHTER RED LED or YELLOW LED IDEALLY screen would be a huge improvement displaying far far more accurate readout for " so far charged " ....... the current read out is why I give this 4 stars.... as the item worked for what I wanted it to do .. I have not tried any other features.

For the last 8 months whenever I shut my 2007 BMW 328i Coupe off, a light would come on telling me that my battery was low on charge. If I listened to the radio with the engine off, within 1 or 2 minutes the car would automatically shut off my radio in an autonomous act of desperation to preserve enough cranking power for the next time I drove. My car continued to start, but the admonition had me preparing for the expense of a new battery, which in the case of my car, is expensive, around $200.I recently brought my car in for an oil change and asked the friendly mechanic to check my battery, which he did. At the end of my service he handed me the results on a piece of paper (see picture 1). The reading showed that my battery is rated at 790 cold cranking amps (CCA), but was only putting out 401 CCA. And the graphic clearly showed it was time for a new battery. Given that he is an Interstate Battery salesperson, he certainly didn't need to tell me about a cheap workaround, but he let me in on a secret, one that I had no idea about. He said I might want to buy a smart trickle charger and see if that charges the battery up. BRILLIANT!I went home, immediately started researching smart chargers and how they work, and settled on this one from YonHan, mostly for two reasons: It was only $28.99, and it was capable of charging at 8 amps, which shortens the charging time to a few hours instead of the days that 1 amp chargers can take. Also, It was "Smart", that is it could tell whether your battery needs "De-sulphating", a process that allows the battery to get back to near new condition and be more able to hold a good charge. This is accomplished in "Repair Mode", a slow pulse charging technique that can take a day or up to a week depending on the condition of your battery. At first I manually just put it in regular 8 amp mode and within 4 hours my battery was cranking at about 13 volts and the low battery light was no longer coming on.I then decided to put it in repair mode and let it desulphate over night. 12 hours later I looked at the charger and it had automatically shut off and the battery was putting out 15 volts! Incredible! Obviously my battery was not in terrible condition for it to desulphate in 12 hours. Still, I consider this whole process a miracle and a huge money saver. There are a few Smart chargers that are identical to this one on Amazon, though they are sold under different names. I bought this one because it was 4 dollars cheaper to the identical competition. The directions that come with the charger are useless, but there are many YouTube videos on how to use a smart charger. Immerse yourself. Using this charger is as simple as can be and almost foolproof. Important: For my car it is important to not hook the charger directly to the battery. Instead, under the hood are remote battery posts that must be used. Check with your owners manual on how to charge the battery in your model car.I have been running my car and blasting the radio with the engine off, and my car life is great again. I've had no need to use it again. But if my battery does run down in the future I've got this great little device to remedy it.What an awesome purchase! 5 stars and Bravo!

Was originally going to order a charger by GooLoo but didn't want to wait till Feb to receive it. Found this model'In Stock" after a bit of searching instead and am glad I did. Not only is it about $10 cheaper but it does/did the same thing thing and is working like a charm!I bought it mainly to support my riding lawnmower during the Winter off-season. Until now, I had been taking the riding mower out approx every 3 weeks to Start it and ride around for abt 5-mins to charge the battery when not in use. There were a few times over the years when I had to connect it to one of our car batteries for a Jump. What a hassle...After this charger arrived a few days ago, I immediately hooked it up to my riding mower which is tucked away in the garage. I knew what to expect and do after reviewing the product on-line. Yep, the battery was at full voltage but the current in the cells were down to 60% usage and was automatically charging it back up. I didn't have to do a thing other than a few quick & simple hookups and leaving it alone for about 5 hours when the battery charged up to 100% usage.Next day, I put it in "Repair" mode by pressing the Function button and after leaving it alone for a little over 18 hours it automatically switched to the "OFF" State. I don't yet now if it repaired anything in my battery or not but will see when I re-connect this charger back up in about 3 weeks to see if it's holding a charge. I will amend my response at that time.
