Works as advertised. Can't say whether the price is competitive but it was convenient to order it here.

I purchased this bit to test out the brand for a butcher block countertop project where I needed to route eight 1/2" deep dog-bones for the inside corner miter bolts. The wood is American black cherry (janka rating 950). For each half of the dog-bone (essentially a "T"), I made one 1/4" deep pass, let the bit cool, and then made the final 1/4" deep pass. After the first dog-bone half, the yellow friction coating on the bit was torn off. The bit cut well through the first complete dog-bone, but by the second dog-bone the bit was dulling and the wood smoking. By the time I got to the eighth dong-bone, the bit was fried and took me really forcing it through the wood in a cloud of smoke. I'm surprised the bit didn't sheer off. This was a special project that I don't plan on doing again, which is why I decided to test out this off-brand since the cuts aren't going to be visible. Now that I know the bit is of inferior quality when working with a medium-hardness hardwood, I won't purchase this brand again. It might work okay for a while with softwoods or softer hardwoods like poplar, but it won't handle anything over 600 janka for long. I hate to think how this bit would perform in rock hard maple or hickory. Conclusion: Don't waste your money, even if you're working with softer woods. For a couple extra dollars, you can get a Whiteside or Freud bit that will last longer and cut better.

First impression was; hmm overkill awfully nice package for a lower priced bit, then ok nice-looking bit too better than the photo, and third was ok nice clean accurate cut sweet! Only question is how long they will hold up/stay sharp. For now, I really like the Yonico bits and will be buying more.
