Bought this after returning another (analog) meter from another Manufacturer. This one actually works and can hold up to vibration. I originally had a round hole meter, but made this work. I had to cut a plate, with the correct size hole and glue it to the back of the housing. The outer diameter of the meter is the same size as the one I removed, so it looks factory. The wiring (polarity) doesn't matter as long as you have voltage going to the meter. Meter always shows the counted time, even when it is not counting or power going to it. The little hourglass flashes when it is powered and counting the time. The middle picture, is the round meter I was replacing. I will update if I have any issues in the next year or two.
