A significant increase in brightness over my existing anchor light. I would have liked a three screw base, but the two fastener base will do. Good points: The bulb is not polarity dependent. There is a nice o-ring weather-sealing the lens. Well worth the price.

Have not had this light for very long. Purchased on September 2023, and the clear plastic cover that protects the led light bulb flew off. If you add some silicone it might hold it on better. Also, the support screws rust pretty quick, but then again I fish saltwater. Some corrosion proof screws would be a great upgrade. It is super bright which is a plus. I reported my issue to the company and they quickly responded and refunded my purchase. Great customer Service.

So I ordered this 4” fixed mount light that is actually 5” but no big deal. I bought my skiff in 1992 and have had 3 perko 4” lights on it all worked fine but after a while the the clear lens that twisted in would break. They cost a lot of cash and you could not by the lens separate. So I received this light and really like it. Upon inspection first off the plastic housing is strong, the wires are adequate in length and diameter and are marine grade and they tinned the end of them which shows attention to detail! I then checked the buttons that the bulb contacts and they look good and they actually shrink tubed the wires there, (impressive) to keep moisture out.I don’t know about the bulb it seems to be hit or miss with led lights so that’s life. Now the lens it screws in with fine threads and has an oring to seal it again attention to detail. The plastic that holds the bulb base is very thickit seems to be fine, my perkos had plastic also. So in conclusion if the materials they used are of good quality this light should do the job and the cost is totally reasonable.A piece of advice ALWAYS solder your wires and shrink tube them period if any exposure to water is possible and also i caulk all mating surfaces to keep water out it’s a must!

Just received this light. It looks great, However. There is only approx 10” of wire so if you want to mount high on a Talon or deck you need to solder more wire to the unit. Second there is NO gasket to seal the area between mounting surface and light. Third, there are NO mounting screws.
