Youngstown's Ground Glove is a double-layered goat grain leather work glove sewn into an ergonomic, 3D form fit pattern. The second layer of goatskin is sewn onto the fingertips, palm, saddle and knuckle to further enhance the durability and protection. The modern, ergonomic glove pattern creates an incredible fit and feel unlike other leather work gloves found in the market. Most leather work gloves are made of old 2D patterns on low grade leather. Not this glove. We use extremely high quality and thick goat grain leather that is specially tanned to enhance grip, flexibility and comfort while maintaining an impressive ruggedness. It has a weight of 18oz/yd2, exceeding OSHA standards for non-voltage electrical work. Independent lab tests have shown the glove to be arc rated to 23 cal/cm2. This glove is not designed to protect workers from shock or voltage. Nor is it designed to be worn over rubber gloves. You don't have to be a professional lineman or electrician to appreciate this glove. The combination of leather quality and modern pattern creates a work glove that just about anyone will appreciate. Durable. Comfortable. Dexterous. Safe. Youngstown Glove's mission is to build the very best in technical hand protection.

Founded in 2002, Youngstown has become known for producing especially durable work gloves and being an innovator with numerous first-to-market technologies. The full offering of Youngstown includes Waterproof Winter, Arc Rated, Flame Resistant, Cut Resistant, Anti-Vibration, High Visibility and Impact Resistant.

I purchased these as a gift for my stepdad who is a carpenter. He works in his shop every single day so he needs a good pair of gloves that will last. He loves the qualify and fit. They are durable and the protect his hands when he needs to. They feel and look super high quality. Overall, he loved them and had nothing but good things to say about them after using them for some time!

Good heavy duty glove that can take a beating. I use them for stone, wood, hay and other rough materials and they hold up very well and are comfortable with a good fit. My only complaint is that they don't breathe very well and if worn for expended periods or in hot weather, your hands will perspire in them.....

Fit is perfect, both hands I might add, always annoys me when gloves are 2 different sizes. Always looking for a good glove to build fence in, and I believe I’ve found it. Tough durable and true to fit. Have surpassed the Tillman gloves for me. Will pay for better product, just don’t change the product

Run true to size. These are not waterproof. They are good durable leather gloves. Easy to take on and off.

These glove are soft as a feather fresh out the pack. But they are super durable. I weld in as well twist bolts and nuts and turn wrenches with them all day.Normally a cheap 10-15 dollar pair of gloves last me 2-3 weeks. These last 4months minimum, sometimes longer. But they do get a little hard and shriveled after you sweat In them daily. But they are tough as nails.Great gloves. And worth the price.

Fits almost perfectly.Fingers are perfect length(I checked the size chart) but between the thumb and pointer finger it’s not deep enough. You can feel a restriction/ pulling when you try to expand that area of the glove. Might be a problem if I want to grasp something large in one hand, an axe, a small log etc.I’m trying to stretch that area in to get a bit of slack hopefully.Otherwise the gloves are good, the leather is soft with no lining and I REALLY like the extra overhang on the wrists, it’s not too long but long enough to protect my watch face and my wrists. If you’re looking for really nice work gloves and have normal sized fingers and short thumbs, you will not be disappointed.Size: XL

Out of the box, I could tell that these were the best leather gloves I had ever purchased. I ruin leather gloves very quickly in general, so I wanted to try a more expensive set to see if there was a difference.I could immediately see and feel the difference of a high quality well fitted glove. I used them for some light duty tasks around the farm for a few days with no issues. Then I started a big job of cutting down some trees and feeding the tree into a chipper. A few hours of work later, I noticed that the reinforced tip of the middle finger was starting to separate at the seam. No hole yet, just the reinforced later was beginning to tear away from the side seam. Disappointing, but realistically, nothing is going to hold up long to the hard work I do.Additionally . . . . I'm not a fan of how the wrist section has worn so far. The wrist area is too loose and/or too long and it rolls down toward the palm.I will probably buy another set when these wear out.

I’ve had trouble with other gloves in the past when working in the garden. Though tough (I’ve used leather and canvas types with extra layers on the grip) they don’t compare to these. I also like how smooth and flexible they are. Excellent quality! The only other glove that could compare to this (that I’ve tried) in terms of thorn resistance is welding gloves but wearing those is a pain so I’ll be using these from now on.

I like these gloves a lot. Very nicely made. I bought large based on the fit chart. My measurements were at the middle of the large range. But as soon as I put them on I knew they were too tight over the knuckles when closing my hand. So, I returned them and got XL. They fit well.I used them while replacing the boards on a deck that's about 11 X 15 ft. That meant both pulling off the old boards and putting on the new, a lot of pry bar, sawzall, hammering, sawing, drilling, etc. Also, of course picking up, loading, unloading, and cutting the wood. This included working with wet treated lumber at times, e.g. when I loaded and unloaded the wood it was raining. The gloves were comfortable throughout and show very little wear. When spring rolls around I'll head out to some 100 acres of woods and and farmland I own with my brother and see how they do on our annual week of trimming hedgerows, clearing up fallen trees, and barn maintenance. That should be a good test.In a nutshell, I know that they aren't $100 work gloves that a professional might wear to work a regular job. But so far for a guy like me dealing with something between basic yard work and a regular job that requires work gloves they do the job. Finally, I have to note that if these didn't have the big Youngstown and cal rating printed on them, I'd buy another pair to use as dress gloves. They feel and look that good.Follow up - been using for nearly 2 years now. Still holding together. Have used for yard work and also in clearing hedge rows including moving large stones. It's not my job doing this, but I likely have 150 to 200 hours of use on them. They've been wet multiple times and are still pliable.
