It only took the normal break-in of the gears to quiet it down and now I don't even know it's back there. You do have to adjust your driving habit a little as it is alway ready for the throttle to call it into action. Smooth transition from lock to unlock and vice versa. Definitely worth the money. I install called this in my 2004 Jeep LJ rear Dana 44.

The front is silent but the rear clicks. These are some of the toughest in the industry. Its not mentioned but you can buy the “YES” service plan for most yukon parts, which give you a lifetime warranty.

Great for off-roading but sometimes locks up and doesn’t let go. One time finally kicked out after many highway miles and my Jeep almost changed lanes. Luckily purchased mostly for off road and minimal highway miles. This was in the first 100 miles. I am updating to relay that it has not reacoured since. I now report do not notice on pavement and working great off road and can recommend but be careful until breaks in. Used in Moab and worked great
