Zebco finally made a serious spincast reel. Heavy duty, retrieves like lightning, zero tangles, and I've used 20# braid, down to 4# mono and everything in between on the spool. Casting is a smooth, easy, second nature throw. Use it like a bait caster, it will perform exactly the same. Instead of a steel stud doing the winding (like your old Zebco 33), it uses a roller bearing, which makes the retrieve feel like glass.My arthritic hands almost gave up fishing, until I watched a couple You Tube videos starring this reel. Now, I've only need to cast and reel. No pulling over the bail, no thumb pressure. Just push the button, swing, and release the button. Yes, just like when you were a kid---only everything is grown up! It hurts more to tie on a new lure, than it does to fish!Last year, my brother and I kayaked down the Russian River in California, while hitting all the brush and snags along the way. Four really nice salmon (C&R), and my limit of trout, on a tiny yellow Rooster Tail. The reel easily handled it all.

My husband does a lot of fishing. He wears out reels fairly quickly. But this particular reel is sturdy, works smoothly.I always keep one on hand in case one brakes, but he's been using this one for 2 years now without and issue. He won't use anything but a Zebco. This is a bit expensive but they finally made one that's worth the $$.

First, this thing is a tank. Pretty heavy reel but not an issue once on the rod.Combined this with a Berkeley Cherrywood 6’6” rod and used a whopper plopped. My goodness gracious can this setup cast!!! Unbelievably far. Makes me feel like Superman just tossing that lure a country mile.Reel is very smooth. Left the default fishing line on it for now. May put braided line on it later. But it works for now so why fuss?I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. It’s pricey but I think well worth it. I am extremely pleased.

i have 4 of the bullet reels. 2 #20 and 2 #30. these reels are awesome, been using them for years, never failed me. caught all kinds of fish from small to big. not to mention that they cast a freakin mile!!i also have 4 omega pros 2 #20 and 2 #30. the omega pros cost a little less than the bullets, but in my opinion, just as good hands down!! i have many other zebco reels from micro all the way up, Never leave home without them when I'm goin fishin!!

I always considered Zebco to be low end, but this reel changes my mind. It is a very solid and sturdy reel with smooth action and quiet winding and casting. Good grip and reversable handle are nice. Definitely happy i added this to my collection. I mounted it on a 7 foot Shakespeare medium action rod and the combo is great for bass and pan fish.

All metal gears. Bought one for the missus, she deserves the best spincaster on the market. Wasn't impressed with Daiwa's offering. The Bullet feels solid and is smooth, but weighs almost twice as much as her Zebco 33. The drag works, but can be tricky to dial in. The only plastic is the thumb trigger. Pairs well with a 6'6" or 7' medium-heavy baitcasting rod.

Super excited after reading the reviews on this reel. Purchased this as a Christmas gift and took out the boat for the first time yesterday. This reel was absolutely horrible. You press to release and nothing would come out. I had to pull the line out and you can tell it was getting caught inside the reel somewhere. Thought maybe it was the string. Changed the string and exact same thing.Waste of money. Do not buy thisTook the reel apart and found out the issue. When it was manufactured, some parts were not properly filed down causing the two spring loaded stops to not retract when you pushed the release button. I filed the excess metal down and it now properly works.

This is the second one I ordered. The first one I ordered did not come pre-sport with string. The description said it would have string on it. I had to send it back and I ordered another one which came priest board. I have it installed on my rod, but I have not used it yet. I did casted with the weight on it. It seemed to cast very well, and it reeled in. Very smooth. I am anxious to use it.

This reel was defective. For the price, I expected a high quality reel. Casting was difficult and the handle was noisy upon reeling in. I had it returned for a refund.
