I bought this special universal front fender for my Kona Scrap mountain bike at the end of march and I love the way it looks on my bike and it looks so great on my bike! It doesn’t move around which it stays solid as a rock and it matches with my rear fender on my bike and it is the best universal front fender ever!!!

I was really looking forward to installing this as I am always getting stones thrown up from the front tire into my face. Unfortunately, only the front half of the fender showed up. Amazon was helpful with the exchange for another, but the same thing happened! Only half of it showed up again! What did come looked good and sturdy but I had to return it again, this time for a refund. Will see if I can find it at a bike shop in the city I guess.

This fender works well. It can wonder a bit due to the way it's mounted, but so far it has worked well. I just have to move it sometimes to centre it on the wheel. Seems sturdy enough, but that hasn't been tested yet. I gave it a lower rating because it isn't rigidly mounted, but that is not a deal changer at this price point.

I received this product however it was incomplete. I only received the front half of the fender rendering it completely useless. I ordered it because my previous experience with Zefal products was very favorable. Bummer! I have to wonder if Amazon simply delivers the same substandard unit after several other people returned this item for the same reason. Hmmm?

Did not realize the rear fender got knocked off, probably in one of my falls, until I was getting the feeling of gnats hitting my face when on a dirt walking trail. Bought another one just like it and replaced the rear fender. It does the job well. My fault for not noticing it being missing. They easily reattach and the clip is as secure as it needs to me to avoid damage when hit.

El guardafangos ajusto muy bien en la bicicleta, se ve bien, es liviano, en un año no he tenido ningún problema con que se safe, y lo más importante es que si protege de las salpicaduras de la llanta delantera.

Easy installation. I usually ask my husband to do all the bike maintenance, but as he was indisposed and I was itching to ride, I took it on myself to install the fender on my Kona 29er (15" frame). The project took about 15 minutes, feels like a good sturdy install, doesn't wobble or anything weird. Style is the only bummer for me, I wish there were some more creative varieties of fenders. I really do like this for function and ease of installation.

This works well for the front wheel but I wish the quality was better. I had to drill out the whole on my front forks in order for it to fit. It's held in place with a plastic sleeve that slides over a plastic bolt. Every time I hit a hard bump it bottoms out and grinds on the Michelin 2.25's.

The fender mounts to the steering tube on the front fork. The included plastic plugs and brackets are designed to expand into the steering tube to provide a place to bolt the fender to. I have an older mountain bike with a smaller diameter steering tube than more recent fat tube bikes. All the included plugs were much too large to fit, much less expand. I had to improvise my own mounting by epoxying something I could bolt the fender to up inside the steering tube. I bashed the included brackets and fittings to find what I needed, but still had to use a fender washer of my own. Just as well, the plastic plugs and brackets don't look too robust. I think my improvisation is much better. All said, the fender seems sturdy enough and capable of fending off mud, but I have yet to see if it breaks under much use (no rain - we are in a drought!).

This is just what my husband was looking for. Fits great and looks nice on his Specialized bike. It does the job of keeping water from splashing up great.
