This did not help me for magride shocks. The grip on this socket did not work well for my car and the "walls" of the socket were about the same as a regular socket. It was also too short to put over the top of the strut and perfectly on the nut, which probably affected the overall grip.

I bought this to change my springs on my 23 m3 and it came in handy definitely needed to do the job properly

The tool seems of good quality. I bought it because it was the correct size for installing my temperature sensor on a trailblazer. I couldn't find an actual sensor socket in the correct size so this was the best option I could find. Unfortunately it didn't have enough room for my wires fit through. So I had to cut a channel into it for the wires. Then it worked very well. And maybe I'll get a chance to use it for the correct purpose later.

This tool isn't meant for high torque. Will probably snap if too much applied. Top nut was at 28ft lb. No problem tightening new and removing old. Allowed me to use hex key to keep shaft from spinning. Great socket.
