I would say they must have taken note of reviews regarding packing. The bulbs were wrapped in the big bubble bubble wrap. (My 4yo is enjoying them, because they’re loud & she can step on them to pop them. lol) Then they were placed in a 6x6x30 box. The box made it in good shape, but it could have easily handled some bumping around.Both bulbs are installed, and the Box Turtle & BD are going to be happy campers! …Maybe not as happy as my 4yo, who is maniacally giggling and stomping bubbles, as I type. Have not had them for long, so can’t say they have a long life span. Just what we needed for our Bearded Dragon. Easy to install and doesn’t get hot to the touch.

I really love these lights, but they took about 3 weeks to get here. That was a little frustrating, but these are the only lights I will buy.
