Just bought it today 3/5/25 I'll update how it feels sleeping on an older mattress but not sure it's work 46$ for the queen size as it's just a hard cardboard type material

Use as-is right out of the packaging. Great support when used under an older mattress that is sagging in the middle.

This is not going to fix a bed needing support by itself. The board itself is smaller than a twin mattress and, therefore, smaller than a twin bed frame. I am using it alongside a set of bed board slats that were already on my bed. Together they provide the support I have been looking for and do a lot to firm up the mattress. The board itself is very sturdy--I think it's made of out mdf or some other kind of particle board with a lot of weight to it. I recommend having help from a friend for installation.
