The touch screen did not work directly out of the box. There is no analog option to turn the unit on, so a failed touch screen renders the entire unit unusable. I attempted to contact Zwilling customer service but could not get through. Absolute garbage, but sadly what I've come to expect. Do not purchase from this manufacturer.

Display beeps and changes randomly without anything being pressed, and pressing buttons does nothing. No damage to box so I cannot assume it was damaged in transit, and I have seen this exact make and model used to make a wonderfully cooked dinner so I am not saying the product is bad.Just frustrating that the one I received is useless.Update: I returned the defective one and re-ordered this same make and model and made perfect steaks.Would recommend.

Great, simple sous vide. I believe this is a 1200W stick, so it is more than capable for any household application. Well-made. No connectivity or app interface, for those who care about that. My largest critique is that the touch button interface, while straightforward, is not always very responsive. This is a bit irritating, but otherwise a great product.

I'm new to sous vide cooking and my first try was a corned beef for 48 hours. The stick worked flawlessly, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Simple to use, simple to clean and their brand vacuum sealed bags and pump worked great too.

I've always wanted to try sous vide cooking, especially since my friends love it. Zwilling is a great make so I thought the brand would be a good choice to try. I think my friends' units are self contained, however, and I should have thought the process through better before I ordered this. To date, I just find using the stick cumbersome, and I haven't found that my food is so much better tasting than it used to be before I employed the stick. The stick itself isn't hard to use, it's more the process. Note, to be fair, I am somewhat set in my ways Food-wise, and my family is happy with my cooking. So, for me to have to get out a large pot to fill with water, then season and seal the meat in a bag to put in the pot, attach and then set the sous vide stick to the right temp, and when it's finally cooked sear the meat so it doesn't look anemic? We decided after a couple of attempts that we prefer simple to complex. You may disagree. If so you'll probably like this stick.

I have always wanted to experiment with sous vide cooking. It sounded wonderful to never have to worry about serving dry chicken or steak again, especially since it was supposed to be so simple. Well, I have finally tried it, and I will definitely be cooking this way a lot more! This Zwilling sous vide cooker comes from a brand I already know and trust, and it made it so easy. I got the cooker only--no bags, no sealer, and no pot; I purchased those things separately. I was a little surprised by the shape of the cooker. It reminds me of an immersion blender. It just clips onto the side of a stock pot or other heat-safe container. The instructions specify that the pot should have a 6 to 20-liter capacity. I didn't have access to any of my larger stock pots, unfortunately, and had to use one with a 5-liter capacity. That worked, but the water was right up at the top of the pot and I had to be very careful. I would definitely recommend following the directions and using a larger stock pot.Anyway, the directions were very clear and straightforward, and they made it easy to get everything set up and ready to go. The cooker itself has a digital display that appears on the top of the unit once it's plugged in. At first I thought I had received a defective device because it kept beeping and showing what looked like an error message, but I finally figured out that it was because it wasn't in the water yet. I also recommend making sure your cooker is in the water before plugging it in! That will allow you to set the time and temperature without dealing with the beeps and errors. The LED touch controls are a little bit fussy and fiddly, and I had to cycle through them a few times before I finally figured out what I was doing and was able to set the cooking temperature and amount of time I wanted. Once set, the cooker did all the work! It took about 8 minutes to reach the desired temperature, after which I carefully submerged my vacuum-packed seasoned chicken breasts into the water. I checked on the whole situation periodically, and the water stayed a relatively low (148 degrees Fahrenheit) and consistent temperature the whole time. After about an hour and 15 minutes, I removed the chicken from the water and the vacuum bag and seared it on a pan for a few minutes on each side before plating it. It was so juicy and delicious! Seriously...no more dry chicken! This sous vide machine is a game changer for me. It was so easy to use, and it even included a few simple recipes to try. I kind of wish it had come with some more, or at least a few more ideas about what I can try to cook with it, but that's what the internet's for. The only real downside is that this isn't the kind of thing you can do on the fly. It takes some planning and a little time, but it really isn't too much more than other cooking methods...and it's worth it. I also think it's a little expensive for its relatively limited scope of use, but it's on sale right now! I am so happy to have mine, and I enthusiastically recommend this Zwilling cooker to anybody who's curious about sous vide!

They are advertising, selling and delivering 110V appliances to a 240V market so the minute you plug it in the electronics overheat and burn out creating smoke and fire. When you buy electrical goods online you reasonably expect them to comply with local electrical standards and to be fit for purpose in the market they are being sold into. These units do not comply with UAE electrical requirements and are therefore dangerous.
