I received defective lock washers. I used about 40 of them and so far 10% have failed, cracking apart and not holding tension on the bolt

In my hand they looked fine. After installing about 20 of them it had to remove and adjust the accompanying bolt. The washer did not "spring back" but remained flat. They are all cracked. Thus it is not doing its job in supplying tension to keep the bolt assembly tight.So now I must replace them all, waste my time, and it's too late for a refund.Seller should be doing better quality control. I will avoid this Amazon seller: " Hard to Find" in the future. I've never had this problem with the same washers purchased from Amazon seller Hillman.I don't have a dog in this fight, nor any connection to either company.P.s. these washers are anything but "hard to find".

Nearly all of these have cracked after installation. Of course, I didn't notice that they were defective until after the return window. No, there are no unusual installation conditions that may have caused it. These are just made out of the wrong steel or a bad batch of steel.
