I bought this because it had pretty much the best reviews and I needed it quickly. It was also Amazon's Choice. Drove me great for 6 weeks then I got stopped dead and super pain to pull mower on trailer with come along. Take everything off and don't see the break so I think I can just put it back on. While threading I see it has broken all the way to the outer cord. No way I put that back on and deal with it as soon as I start again. I'm going to give this brand another shot but if it breaks it's going to get a 1 instead of a 3 and I'll order the Ariens belt and just eat the extra cost.

Someone else wrote that this was too big and did not properly fit, but there were a lot of other reviews saying how well it did fit. My original belt got totally shredded so I was not able to determine proper belt routing while removing and upon replacement I had my routing path incorrect, which led me to believe this belt was too big like that one review said. I ended up going to an Ariens/Gravely dealer and getting an OEM part. This belt is a little bigger than the OEM part I ended up with. In the attached picture you can see the difference in the belt sizes: The OEM belt (smaller one on bottom with the white stripe around the edge) is noticeably smaller than this belt. Measuring the O.D. of the two, I got: 57 & 5/8" for this belt and 56 & 5/16" for the OEM part. In hindsight this belt would likely have worked so I am upgrading my review to a 4 star, but I ended up returning this one and going with the OEM part since it took so much effort to get either belt on and the OEM one was shop recommended. For those of you in my same predicament, I am also attaching a picture of the proper belt routing. You will have to forgive my crude sketch, but hopefully this saves someone about 2 hours worth of trial and error.Ariens, unhelpfully, does not tell you the belt size in the manual for part # 07200718 (probably so you don't go out and get a third party replacement) but the guy at the store sold me a Stens 266-344. He said they have had better luck with these than the genuine part through Gravely. Stens appears to be available on amazon but this part # isn't at the time of writing the review. Don't get this confused with the 266-334 which Amazon offered as my first suggestion. Those come in a multi pack, are blue, are for a Toro, and are not the correct size.Overall quality is OK. It doesn't feel cheaply made or anything, but after getting the OEM part this belt does seem to be lacking the same quality that one had. Would likely hold up decently well.

Great quality, good price. Fit my ariens 52 just like OEM. However if yo don't have a mower lift this belt can be a hassle.
