Your cart is empty.Keep interior wood projects looking beautiful with Minwax Polyurethane Wood Finish. This oil-based clear sealer protective coating protects and adds long-lasting beauty to woodwork, furniture, doors, cabinets and floors. The clear top coat is one of the most durable coatings for wood protection against scratches, spills and more. It can be used on both finished and unfinished wood projects, and is available in a variety of sheens. The fast-drying formula allows for quick recoats in 4-6 hours. Application Directions:
1. Surface must be dry and free of old finishes in poor condition, paint, wax, grease, polish, dirt or other foreign matter.
2. Sand to obtain a smooth uniform surface. Remove all dust with a cloth dampened with mineral spirits.
3. If desired, apply Minwax stain to unfinished wood surfaces. Follow directions for application and dry times.
4. Stir Minwax Fast-Drying Polyurethane before and during use to eliminate settling on the bottom of the can. Stir to rotate the product from the bottom to the top of the can. NEVER SHAKE.
5. Apply a THIN coat of Minwax Fast-Drying Polyurethane using a high-quality natural or foam brush.
6. For floor projects, use a square buff orbital or disk-type sander with 220 grit sandpaper or the equivalent grit pad or screen (specifically designed for sanding between coats). Do not use a belt or drum-type sander for sanding between coats. Follow the sander manufacturer’s directions for your type of project.
7.Apply second coat. If third coat is desired, repeat step 6 before application.
8. After final coat, allow 24 hours before light use.

This Minwax floor covering is beyond amazing, beautiful after applied, easy to apply & leaves a beautiful mirror-like sheen to ones wood flooring the likes of you wouldn't believe. I can darn near shave with the clarity and shine of this product applied.One must clearly make sure the floor is cleaned COMPLETELY / THOROUGHLY prior to application of this product because it will seal over every minimalist variation of wood grain, wood color & blemish! Additionally, it's advisable to pre-tape all borders of floor molding & wall surface if there is no molding protecting it! It can be applied simply with a fine paint roller attached to a long handle, eliminating any need of crouching on your knees slowly applying this compound by hand brush or roller.Depending on the condition of your wood floor, (dry, freshly sanded, etc.) it may require a 2nd or even 3rd coat of Minwax sealer to get the ultimate seal & shine you prefer. Understandably the sealer does have an odor so make sure either the windows are open & I recomend a small desk top fan set on low & placed ground level to help the drying process as well as the scent.HOME PRODUCT REVEIWS BY:MR. I have older wood floors in my living room and dining room. I've been putting a coat of miniwax uertane on my floors every 4 or 5 years. Durable product. Easy to use. Makes floors look like new

Excellent for finishing your woodworking projects. Prior to application, make sure that the surface is clean and free of dust. To achieve more gloss, sand very lightly and apply additional coats. Product has a strong smell that eventually disappears after it has fully cured. Use a fan in a well-ventilated area to speed up the curing process.
