Miss Kim Manchurian Lilac Syringa pubescens subsp. patula 'Miss Kim' This Manchurian lilac cultivar is a compact, upright, deciduous shrub which grows 4-7' tall with a similar spread. Lavender to ice blue, sweetly fragrant, single flowers are arranged in dense, terminal clusters (panicles to 3" long) which cover this shrub in late spring to early summer. Elliptic to ovate, dark green leaves turn burgundy in autumn. A good selection for southern climates. This compact cultivar is a good selection for smaller areas. May be massed, grouped or planted as a small specimen. Good for shrub borders, foundation plantings, peripheries of borders or rock gardens. Mature Height : 4-7 Feet Mature Width : 4-7 Feet Exposure : Full sun to partial shade Hardiness Zones : 3-8

These plants are very small. I hope they are hearty and survive the fall and winter season.

Mine were about 8" tall in a cup sized pot. I like planting small plants because I think they need less care before they adapt to their new site.
