It says heavy duty but seems fairly light weight to me.

Do not buy these valves. They LEAK. Not enough threads for proper engagement. I used teflon tape and they leak like crazy. Only 4 threads per end. Total waste of money . Now I have to re-do my extensive time installing these garbage valves.

I used this ‘Quirkmyn 1" NPT 2PCS Full Port Forged Brass Ball Valve, Full Port Heavy Duty Brass Ball Valve Shut Off Switch for Water and Oil’ as main cutoff valves for the hot water flow feeding our house from a remote water heating system. The valves are made with H90 Brass, which is safe for potable applications. H90 is lead free and food safe. I’m always very careful to use potable quality fittings. These are great, full flow, smooth operation valves. They are a great value. I’m sure I’ll use them again.

I thought I'll save a bit of money since the ball valve was cheaper than big box store brands. Oppps.....BIG MISTAKE!No matter how much teflon tape or tightening you do, this part leaks. Do not buy!

Bought 2 valves, attached to brass pex thread and they leaked with gravity fed water. Put thread sealant and tighten tight. Shallow threads IMO. Back flow valve didn't leak or any other connections. Wasted $24.

These 3/4" full port brass ball valves are with nice good manufacturing quality. The valves are heavy duty and expected to last. The valves operate smoothly. The price is reasonable.

I live in the country in Central Texas and I'm updating my well to my house. The pvc pipe is getting old after 20 years, I'm adding an additional line to my new carport where I store my RV and I want a new ball valve to the house too.As with other review, it surprised me at first when I had difficulty opening the valves. But when I heard the "woosh" of air, I knew that they had been factory tested and were still under pressure. That was a good sign. These values are solid built and I highly recommend
