Firstly my qualification to make comments on this fork seal saver, I am a part time metal fabricator. I own a small cnc and welding side business. When the box showed up, I thought I may have just gotten an empty box by mistake. Nope, the item was in the box, it's just that light weight. Took a magnet to it to be sure it is in fact aluminum, and yes, it is. The welding and fit and finish are 5 star. I was actually quite surprised when I looked over the welding on my seal saver purchased June 2023, and found all of the welds to be really quite good quality and no body fillers masking poor welding. The manufacturer even uses a "riv nut" to make adjusting this seal saver to your motorcycle a 1 wrench deal. Very, very nice touch. I checked, and all of the adjusting holes line up as they should, which really is not a surprise as it is cnc cut. The rubber piece on the top is the only spot for improvement that I can mention. Though it does appear that the rivet shown in one of my pictures is an attempt to address perhaps some complaints that the adhesive used was poor quality? But the manufacturer did address that possibility with the rivet. It appears that they used a standard contact adhesive as my item does have the edges pulled up exposing the adhesive. The rivet, though an aluminum one, in a small way negates the usage of the rubber on top. For that my only suggestion to the manufacturer is to use a higher quality adhesive and eliminate the rivet. Other than that, if I need a second one, I will buy another one of these rather than build one. For this price point, I can not make one, and certainly not make one this refined and well finished. So 2 big thumbs up and 5 stars.

I was skeptical to use one of these, but after spending a small fortune getting my front forks re-tuned, I just didn't want to compress them to the point of no return on my trailer. I trailer 2 bikes on a trailer and it requires one of the straps on the bikes facing the outside of the trailer to be nearly straight up-and-down. Without these fork savers, I need to crank them down where I feel I'm killing the forks... this fork saver is straight-up awesome! I just use these on a 4.5 hour trip on the trailer and worked incredibly... If you load your bikes in the evening and take off in the morning, be sure to check them, because they sit on your front tire, and your tire pressure changes with the temperature, so if it's getting colder at night, the pressure will reduce and this fork saver will be loose.. if you check them just before you take off they work really great... as far as those plastic one, I didn't even bother.... this aluminum one is the only way to go... it's super light, but so much better than plastic... I have been trailering bikes for over 30 years and never needed these, but now that I'm trailering 2 bikes on one trailer, it's a needed extra so I'm not cranking them down so tight I'm destroying the forks....

Way more sturdy than plastic! Adjustable, and spreads the load over the tire better also. The tire piece has a grip on it and the upper has a nice pad. Well made and is way better than the plastic versions.

Most of the plastic ones out there were too too tall to fit my bike, this one at its shortest height is perfect, just short enough to easily put in place.
