This review is for the Golden Bakery Family Store 14 Inch Cake Drums, Black Cake Boards 14 Inch Round(6-Pack),1/2 Inch Thick Cake Boards with Banner Cake Topper, Sturdy, Greaseproof for Birthday Wedding Multi-Tiered Cake.The largest cakes I bake are 10 inches. The drums are 14 inches, which should give me two inches of work room on all sides. Unfortunately I found 14 inch drums are too large for my cake carrier, and two other cake carriers I've tried. My carrier accommodates 12 inch drums, which gives me at least an inch.However nothing is wrong with these drums. They are thick and sturdy.

These 14" GoldenBakeryFamily 14" cake drums are nice! They feel substantial enough to support a 12" round layer cake and the black embossed print looks very elegant.I recently acquired a pair of super large round 12" cake pans which are great. Then came to the realization that the largest cake drums I had are 12" and not super sturdy because I usually double up those thinner 12" rounds. And the recommendation is to use a cake drum/board at least 2" larger than the cake pan.These GoldenBakeryFamily 14" cake drums measured 14" and since they are 1/2" thick, they feel much sturdier, so these are a good buy.

I needed a cake board that would adequately support a 3D dragon cake with minimal effort on my part. This worked very well for the purpose. I supported the neck/head of the dragon by driving 3 fondue forks straight into the cake board and wrapping them with aluminum foil tape, then building the cake around them. The cardboard material of the cake board supported this makeshift effort perfectly. They did not slip or move about, and the heavy cake was firmly anchored for the entirety of its short life (before being consumed).The package also came with several cardboard glittery cake decorations (see picture), which are nice, although I have not had occasion to use them yet.

The embossed black top is the traditional leaf pattern found on fancyfoil etc. and looks pretty and elegant. The top circle is firmly glued to the smooth black ring going around the sides, which no obvious gaps or bubbles. The bottom of the cake drum is a slick white paper. I'd have preferred more black instead of the white, which allows for a thin white edge on the bottom when placed flat on a table,. The cake drums are level and sturdy and will work well. The glittery Celebrate toppers are each about 6.25" long and need a bit of assembly. They're cute and a nice free addition. I'm happy with my purchase.

These cake drums are perfect! The edges don't catch on the smoother so I'm able to easily ice and smooth my cakes. They are sturdy enough to hold heavy cakes and the color coverage is consistent and good quality.

These are all really nice. They arrived in good condition exactly as expected. They really elevated my cakes and gave them a nice touch. I've used two so far and they held up great! Everyone was impressed. I used on both a 6" and an 8" cake. It looked best with the 6" - I like to have room on the bottom but it worked for either. Cake with disco balls is the 6”. Cake with two snakes on top is 8”.
